ECO-WASTE MANAGEMEN
PRACTICES
The Camarines Sur
Polytechnic Colleges
has taken on to the
academic sphere the
global responsibility of
protecting the natural
world and bringing
about an eco-friendlier
lifestyle.
What are we as an institution if not for the
resources that are available for us to utilize? All
of our academic and administrative functions are
carried out through the use of natures resources.
It is with gratitude to Earth and its blessings that
CSPC has been adamant in implementing as well
as developing strategies that either alleviate the
injurious impacts or at the least be amiable to
the environment. The core of our advocacy is to
create an ec0-friendly culture to students,
employees and faculty by making sure that
resource are replenished, maximized fully and
utilized minimally.
All of our programs are based upon
national laws and directions such as:

Republic Act 8749

(An act Providing for a
Comprehensive Air
Pollution Control Policy
and for Other Purposes)

Republic Act 9211

(Tobacco Regulation
Act of 2003;
Republic Act
9003
(The Philippine
Ecological
Solid Waste
Republic Act 9512
Management
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS ACT
(Act to Promote
Act of 2000);
Environmental
Awareness through
Environmental
Education and for Other
Purposes:
To execute our green
endeavors, the College believes
in walking before running as it
takes on a step by step
development towards more
sustainable programs. They are
anchored upon an action plan
that is strategically demarcated
into categories of pollution
prevention, greening, energy
conservation, water conservation,
paper conservation, solid waste
management and the disaster
risk reduction management
programs.
The facilities and management systems of
the College have been significantly altered.
The following are some of the ecologically
sound administrative ventures of the College
such as rain water harvesting facility,
composting system, installation of a water
sealed disposal system, gradual replacement
of T12 fluorescent lamps to T15 fluorescent
lamps, promotion of paperless transaction
and formulation policy measures on the use
of electrical appliances and gradual
procurement of solar panels.
