Centralized Garbage Collection System

A piping system for waste disposal, also known as a refuse chute, is used in tall buildings like condominiums to transport rubbish from individual floors through shafts to a collection point on the ground floor. Waste is thrown into openings on each floor and falls through the hollow piping to be collected and transported to a landfill. Refuse chutes provide a centralized way to manage waste and reduce energy use compared to individual collection. Regular maintenance is needed to prevent blockages, leaks, and odors.

Definition of Piping System for Waste

Disposal

More commonly known as refuse chute

Method of refuse waste material

Shaft which is hollow and is used as a chute

Mainly used in tall building such as condominium

Rubbish and waste goes through the piping ends up at the ground floor

From the ground floor a contractor will take the waste and transport it to a landfill

Body parts mainly consist of a gate that is fitted on a hollow wall and the tube
which is installed behind the wall

Invented due to reduce energy consumption and encourages residents to properly

manage waste

Centralized Garbage Collection System

A CENTRALIZED GARBAGE COLLECTION SYSTEM IS A REFUSE CHUTE THAT USE

TO TRANSPORT WASTE MATERIALS FROM HIGH RISE RESIDENTIAL OR OFFICE
BUILDING TO THE REFUSE BIN AT THE GROUND.

REFUSE CHUTE IS INSTALLED AT EVERY FLOOR OF THE BUILDING FOR THE

RESIDENCE TO THROW THE WASTE MATERIALS DIRECT TO THE REFUSE BIN.

Automatic Waste Collection System (AWCS)

AN AUTOMATED WASTE COLLECTION SYSTEM IS A REFUSE THAT TRANSPORTS

WASTE MATERIALS AT HIGH SPEED THROUGH UNDERGROUND CONSISTS OF A
BRANCHED PIPE SYSTEM WITH INLETS AND A TERMINAL TO COLLECTION STATION
WHERE IT IS COMPACTED AND SEALED IN CONTAINERS.

THE WASTE MATERIALS IS THROW INTO THE INLETS AND THE REFUSE CHUTE IS
TEMPORARILY STORED ABOVE A STORAGE VALVE TO PREVENTS THE REFUSE FALLING
DOWN INTO THE PIPE SYSTEM

AFTER THE REFUSE IS FULL, THE STORAGE VALVE OPEN AND DROP THE WASTE
MATERIALS INTO THE PIPE SYSTEM

THE WASTE MATERIALS IS THEN TRANSPORT THE WASTE MATERIALS BY VACUUM TO THE
TERMINAL

REFUSE CHUTES REQUIRE REGULAR CLEANING TO KEEP THE CHUTE CLEAR, HYGIENIC AND
FRESH SMELLING.
