Classroom News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
With the weather becoming increasingly
colder, the students are doing a great
job staying warm exercising their brains
inside (and with brain breaks, working
their bodies as well!) This week the
students jumped into a new Reading
unit focusing on diversity in America.
Students began to learn about the
traditions and values many people have
in America and around the world. This
led to our Social Studies lesson on how
each individual student has different
traditions, values, and experiences that
they bring into the classroom. In Math
class this week we reviewed time,
elapsed time, measurement, and
number lines. The students took their
Mid Module Test on Thursday as well.
Next week, the students will be working
on rounding. In Writing the students are
writing their introductory and body
paragraphs for their Opinion Writing
essay. The students have been working
hard and accomplishing quite a lot
before break! I am looking forward to
another great week!

Sincerely,
Ms. Ward
