This document discusses sorting and filtering data in Excel. It explains that sorting arranges data alphabetically based on a column, while filtering narrows data based on criteria. The document covers sorting by single and multiple columns, prioritizing sorts, using AutoFilter to filter data based on column criteria, and creating a "fluid" chart linked to a filtered data range. It also provides tips for common Excel functions like resizing columns, navigating cells, selecting ranges, and toggling cell references.

Sorting

Select a single cell in the column you

want to sort by

If you select a whole column, only that column

will be sorted, disconnecting it from the other
data in the database

Sort on multiple columns

Sort the least important column first,

progressing to the most important
Sort the most important column last

broken down by division, by

hourly rate, and gross pay
