Bayerische Motoren Werke, usually known under


its abbreviation BMW is a German luxury vehicles,
motorcycle, and engine manufacturing company
founded in1916. Headquartered in Munich, Bavaria,
Germany, it also owns and produces Mini cars and
serves as the parent company of
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. BMW produces
motorcycles under BMW Motorrad, and
plug-in electric cars under the BMW i sub-brand
and the "iPerformance" model designation within
the regular BMW lineup. It is one of the best-selling
luxury automakers in the world.

RE-BUILDINGEDUCATIONALFACILITIES

CHINA
Since 2013, Jaguar Land Rover has made donations
following major earthquakes in rural areas of China:
Following a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that rocked
Ya'an in Sichuan Province in April 2013, Jaguar Land
Rover in China pledged three million RMB to support
disaster relief efforts. Dealer Shun Bao Hang also
contributed one million RMB.
After a powerful quake struck rural Zhaotong in
Yunnan Province in August 2014, Jaguar Land Rover
in China responded immediately and donated five
million RMB to assist communities in the region.

CHARITY WORK

Jaguar supports many local charities in the


vicinity of its UK manufacturing plants; through
the Jaguar Employee Charities Committee,
our staff can choose to donate to local causes,
and then have their contributions matchfunded by Jaguar.

PLANTATION
Under this initiative of Spark Minda Foundation,
Plantation drives are conducted in the vicinity of various
villages around our manufacturing locations and
saplings are nurtured till the maturity stage. The main
aim is to create a sense of responsibility towards the
resource protection and pollution free environment.
Our objective is to to protect the planet through such
plantation drives.
Till Date 7353 Trees are planted across our various
manufacturing facilities and areas surrounding them.

INSPIRING TOMORROW'S ENGINEERS


GLOBAL
Jaguar Land Rover's Inspiring Tomorrows
Engineers programme promotes learning and
engagement in STEM (science, technology,
engineering and maths) subjects in collaboration
with schools and colleges to inspire young people
to consider engineering and manufacturing
careers. Its critical that we encourage more
talented young people to become the next
generation of engineers and technologists to
address the skills shortage and sustain our
business over the long term.

Ride Safe India


A 360 degree initiative on making Indian
Roads safer to drastically reduce
fatalities. We are setting up Road Safety
Riding schools across India and plan to
do campaigns on ground, on air, on
social media, and in schools to educate
the masses & empower them to make a
tangible difference. This initiative is
supported by the Ministry of Road
Transport & Highways, Government of
India.

Hamari Pari
An effort to specifically empower
the women of tomorrow a
concentrated initiative targeted
towards the girl child aged 6+
from the underprivileged
sections of the society to help
and support them in their holistic
development.

Happy Earth
Aims at bringing change in our
environment for, literally, making our
world a happy place to live in. We
initiated 120,000 tree plantations in
and around New Delhi, building over
50 toilets in various schools and the
future possibilities are endless.

Operation Better World


Going Further to make areas around its
operations in Tamil Nadu, India a better place,
Ford India in association with Ford Motor
Company Fund announced Operation Better
World in 2012. The endeavour is to address
issues related to Education, Sustainability, Auto
Safety and Local Priorities - the 4 priorities
outlined by Ford Motor Company Fund.

Focus on Education
Going further in its commitment to lay foundations for a
Better World, Ford India announced the launch of its
Happy School's' program in Chennai, in September 2014.

The program will be implemented in schools close to


Fords operations in Chennai, Sanand and Gurgaon.
As part of the Happy Schools program, Ford is partnering
with reputed NGOs working in the field of education to
collectively conceptualize and design a social intervention
model that addresses the identified gaps in the areas of
academics, health, nutrition and infrastructure.

Focus on Communities Local


Priorities
Ford supports a tailoring training program for
women in 7 villages close to the plant. More
than 600 women have been trained in this
skill over the last two years, of whom a
significant number have started leveraging
this as an additional source of income. Aimed
at enabling the women to enhance their
employability, this program is one of Fords
key initiatives towards womens
empowerment.

Focus on Water/ Sustainability


Ford India launched the first phase of its
cohesive community outreach initiative in
Sanand, Gujarat to improve access to safe
drinking water for children from neighboring
communities.
In the first phase, 30 filters were installed in
anganwadis and primary schools, across
18 villages, reaching out to more than 1000
children.
