There are risks in most activity of daily living, but

these risks can be eliminated or conciderably


reduced if you know what they are and if you take
appropriate actions and safeguards.
Principles of Safety
1. Assess risks and report accident potentials.
2. Plan the activity.
3. Train for the job.
4. Using personal protective equipment.
5. Making a personal commitment to safety.

potentials.
Learn the risks of working with hazardous
materials as detailed on product labels and
in the WHMIS.

2. Plan the activity.


Plan the activity, sothat the job can be
performed safely and so that dangerous
situations can be controlled as they arise.
Take the precaution recomended on label
instructions and MSDS.

3. Train for the Job


Train for the job so that you can work safely
with equipment and materials, recognize
unsafe conditions and take aprropriate steps
to eliminate the accident potential.

and planing safety measure to prevent them.
