TRAINIG (nisiet)
NISIET set up in the early 1950s in Hyderabad and has
been imparting training to entrepreneurs, managers and
various development functionaries of state governments,
financial institutions and other agencies.

NISIET organizes about 45 national level and 15


international level programmers' every year.

It also acts as an important resource and information


centre for small units and under takes research and
consultancy for small industry development.
It was in 1984 that the UNIDO had recognized
NISIET as an institute for meritorious
performance under its centers of excellence
schemes to extend aids

NISIET was set up in the 1950s as a training


institute for small scale entrepreneurs (SMEs). It
was well known for its training activities and
attracted participants from all over the country.
However, by the early 1990s, NISIET had lost
its position as a premier training institute for
various reasons.
Some of reasons were
The fight of faculty to other institutes
The poor infrastructure and competition from
other training institutes.
In the late 1990s, a new Principal
Director was appointed and he brought about
various changes in the organization. All these
changes resulted in the turnaround of NISIET.

Was set up in 1983 as an apex institution
in the field of entrepreneurship
development to promote, support and
sustain entrepreneurship and small
business through training, education,
research and consultancy services.
The major activities of the Institute include
