QUOTING LINES FROM A BOOK

According to Saville-Troike, Second Language Acquisition

(SLA) refers both to the study of individuals and groups who
are learning a language subsequent to learning their first one as
young children, and to the process of learning that language (2).
QUOTATION IS 4 LINES

QUOTING LINES FROM A BOOK

SLA has been defined in many ways by many writers. This is
one of the most noted definitions of SLA.
Second Language Acquisition (SLA) refers both to
the
study of individuals and groups who are learning a
language subsequent to learning their first one as
young
children, and to the process of learning that language.
The additional language is called a second language
(L2), even though it may actually be the third, fourth,
or tenth to be acquired. It is also commonly called a
target language (TL), which refers to any language
that is the aim
or goal of learning.

QUOTING LINES FROM A POEM

Robert Frosts concluding lines are remarkable:
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep.
But I have promises to keep.
And miles to go before I sleep.
And miles to go before I sleep. (13-16)
According to Ellen Sturgis Hooper, I slept and dreamed that
life was Beauty;/I woke, and found that life was Duty (1-2).

QUOTING LINES FROM A PLAY

Shakespeare describes the power of imagination aptly:
Theseus. As imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name. (5.1 15-18)

CITING FROM A WEB SOURCE

According to the web source Wikipedia, CALL dates back to
the 1960s, when it was first introduced on university
mainframe computers.
According to the Frankfurt International School website,
Krashen believes that there is no fundamental
difference between the way we acquire our first language
and our
subsequent languages. He claims that humans
have an
innate ability that guides the language learning
process. Infants learn their mother tongue simply by
listening
attentively to spoken language that is (made)
meaningful to them. Foreign languages are acquired in the
same way.

PLAGIARISM
Root word = Plagiarus (to steal or to kidnap)
Stealing somebodys work and using it as ones own
When you provide information in the research
without mentioning from where you took it, it is
called plagiarism (stealing of information).
It is very clear that a pun was to him, a fatal
Cleopatra. But John Donne was a master in
the use of puns. (example of plagiarism)
It is very clear that A pun was to him, a fatal
Cleopatra (Johnson 34). But John Donne was
