This document outlines the process for transporting SAP transports between different environments at Axalta Coating Systems. There are defined times when transports are moved from development to quality assurance and from quality assurance to production. The process involves checking transport dependencies, importing transports in the correct sequence, capturing return codes, updating transport statuses, and notifying stakeholders.

TRANSPORTS
TO
QUALITY ASSURANCE Axalta Coating Systems 3 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance SAP transports moving to Quality Assurance must be completed 3 times per day Monday through Friday: 06:00am EST 09:30am EST 03:30pm EST
Those requiring transport to quality assurance outside of the normal schedule will be migrated UPON APPROVAL FROM THE AXALTA BUSINESS TEAM. These changes will require an email request from one of the following individuals: [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]
All transports MUST be in the following TMS Lotus Notes status before importing to the QA system: In Development Approved for Transport
Each transport MUST have its on TMS entry. Multiple CTS numbers are NOT permitted in a single TMS form. If this happens, you must revert it back to the requestor to create a separate TMS entry for each transport.
The Axalta Basis support team will check the Lotus Notes TMS entries daily and transport those that are listed in the following stage/status: Stage: in Development Status: Approved for Transport Axalta Coating Systems 4 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance 1. Select tree menu: Transports -> By Stage & Status 2. Select SID (QD1, RD1, etc.) 3. Select: In Development ->Approved for Transport Logon to the DSAP Lotus Notes TMS database to determine which transports are approved for migration to their respective Quality Assurance System.
Axalta Coating Systems 5 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance 4. View each CTS document to determine if dependent transports are required. Be sure to check both the Source-System Dependency field and the Detailed description field. If dependencies exist, ensure these dependencies have been migrated to the Quality Assurance system first. If approval is NOT granted to move the dependencies, then do NOT migrate the requested transport. Axalta Coating Systems 6 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance 5. Logon to the SAP quality Assurance System. 6. Run transaction STMS 7. Import the approved transports to the Quality Assurance System, ensuring you import in the correct sequence. If no sequence or dependencies exist, migrate in the order they are listed in the QB1 import buffer. 8. Ensure you capture the return codes of each transport. 9. Send an email to [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected] and also cc: each requestor of the TMS. You can use the format below as a sample:
A total of 9 transport were available in the allotted time slot. Following 6 were moved successfully ,accordingly TMS has been updated.
For RD1 RB1 : No available transports. Axalta Coating Systems 7 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance 10. Edit each TMS document and update the transport status based upon the return code of the transport.
Axalta Coating Systems 8 Transporting CTSs to Quality Assurance 11. If the transport return code = 0, select Transported to Testing RC=0. If the transport return code is greater than 0, select the Transported to Testing RC Not=0. 12. Save the document.
