About CDC
Career Development Cell (CDC) is first of its kind, which was started in the year 2013 to
enhance the employability skills of the students of DRIEMS and also to provide them
employment opportunities in various national and international industries of repute.

Objective
CDC has its objective to establish a mechanism, which will help all the Students & Staff
Members of DRIEMS for their 3600 Skill & Interpersonal Skill Development and also to
provide an environment where Student or Staff can explore their inner potentiality with
respect to the defined VISION, MISSION and GOAL of CDC-DRIEMS.

Process Flow
CDC trains students on their employability factors from first year onwards, which is
emerged in their academic calendar.
The first year syllabus includes soft skills, which is completely activity based, and this
helps them to develop their self-confidence, improve communication and presentation skills
and also to keep them motivated to enhance their employability skills..
During the second and third year the concentration is more on Analytical & Problem
solving skill along with focus on behavioural, leadership and team building activities.
In the final year the students are given touch of finishing school just to make them more
professional and industry-ready.

Placement Process
The procedure for campus placement follows the following plan:
The Placement Office sends invitations to corporate to conduct recruitment
process at DRIEMS.
If corporate is interested to hire from DRIEMS, then Placement Office send a
Campus Response Form to corporate.
The corporate fill the response form and back to us.
Then depending upon the feasibility corporate may visit DRIEMS for
recruitment or can recruit from DRIEMS using different online platform.
If corporate is interested to conduct the pooled campus drive, then we can
coordinate the same with the corporate.
DRIEMS can organize Walk-in at Company Location also.

conduct paper based test.

Capital-IQ, Shriram Values , Mphasis, Cummins, BOSCH, Oracle financial
Services,Syntel, Mahindra Satyam, IBM, Accenture, AMW, Mindtree, GE,

IBM campus drive was coordinated successfully taking 3100 candidates
doing paper based test.
Accenture - campus drive was coordinated successfully taking 1500
candidates doing online test.

How to Reach Orissa

By air: The Biju Patnaik Airport at
Bhubaneswar is the best way to reach Orissa by
air. The airport is well connected to different
cities of India like Kolkata, Hyderabad,
Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Raipur, Bangalore
and so on.
Bty rain: The major railhead is in the state
known as Bhubaneswar Railway station and
Cuttack Railway Station those are served by
major train networks that connect it to other
parts of the state as well as the country.
Rajdhani, Coromondal Express,Konarak Express
are some of the famous trains that serve these
station.
By Road: The state of Orissa can be easily
accessed via National Highway number 5, 6, 23,
42 and 43 run that run through the state.


About Odisha

Odisha, located on the eastern coast of India, It is the ninth largest
state in terms of area (155,707 km) and eleventh largest in terms of
population (36,706,920) in India. Orissa has a historic relevance
spanning around 5000 years.

Odisha houses the Hirakud dam, which is the longest earthen dam in
the world. Tourists from all over the world come to visit the Sun Temple
in Konark, Jagannath Temple of Puri and its captivating beach,
Ashokas rock edict at Udaygiri and Khandagiri caves, Barabati Fort in
Cuttack and many more destinations which hold Utmost importance in
the archeological story of India. The famous Rath Yatra(car festival) is
carried out with much aplomb in Puri.

Odissi is identified as a classical art form in India and is the oldest
surviving dance form in India according to archeological evidence.

Oriya is the language spoken by majority of people in Orissa. It belongs
to the Indo-Aryan subdivision of the Indo-European family of languages
and bears resemblance to Assamese and Bengali. Orissa has one of the
richest and opulent cultural heritages. Its cultural significance is dotted
with instances from Hinduism,Jainism and Buddhism
