What is an operative cholangiogram?
Operative cholangiography involves the injection of a radiopaque dye directly
into the ducts of the biliary tract during gallbladder surgery.
Operasi cholangiography dilakukan dengan cara menyuntikkan pewarna
radiopaque langsung ke dalam saluran empedu selama operasi kandung
empedu.

X-rays then reveal clear images of the biliary tract. This test is used only
occasionally, when other less invasive tests do not provide enough information.
Sinar-X kemudian menangkap gambaran dari saluran kandung empedu. Tes
ini hanya sesekali digunakan, ketika tes yang sudah dilakukan kurang invansif
memberikan informasi.
Why would someone need an
operative cholangiogram?
1. Reveal any choleliths (stones) not previously
detected. *Primary purpose*
2. Investigate biliary tract
3. Determine function of hepatopancreatic ampulla
4. Demonstrate small lesions, strictures, or
dilatations in biliary ducts.
Clinical indications for operative cholangiogram:
Jaundice, pancreatitis, elevated bilirubin, abnormal
liver function tests (LFT)

cholangiogram ?
1. Menunjukkan adanya choleliths (batu) yang sebelumnya tidak
terdeteksi. *tujuan utama*
2. Memeriksa saluran empedu
3. Menentukan fungsi dari hepatopancreatic ampulla
4. Menunjukkan lesi (luka) kecil, striktura, atau dilatasi di saluran
empedu.
Indikasi klinis pada operative cholangiogram :
Jaundice, pancreatitis, elevated bilirubin (tingginya bilirubin),
abnormal liver function tests (LFT)


What supplies are needed for an
operative cholangiogram?
5-10 mls of radiopaque dye
Catheter
Cannula (small feeding tube)
C-arm
If the surgery is performed via laparoscopy a
flexible viewing tube and other surgical
instruments will be used.
