 2. Word usage
• “see a movie”  watching movies

• “take a picture”  photography or taking pictures

 4. Use of the tenses
• When talking about something that already happened, use the past
tense.

• When talking about your hobbies or current situation (the now), use
present tense.
– “I like listen to music.”

• When talking about what you want later in life, use future tense.

 Three Symbols

[3] The guitar represents my hobby – playing rock

 My Seal
My seal has four symbols: a pine tree, wheels, a sun, and
snow. The pine tree is in the center. It represents my ideal
character because a pine tree is always green and never
changes. I want to be a person who doesn’t change easily.
Below the tree there are wheels. The wheels represent my
motorcycle. Above the tree on the right there is a sun, and
on the left there is snow. The sun represents Costa Rica,
where I was born. The snow represents Canada, where I
live now. It’s cold and snowy there. I think both countries
have shaped my character.

What kind of partner do I want? First, I want someone
who is athletic and cares about their health because I am a
professional athlete. When I have fights, I have to train extra
hard and diet, and I want someone who understands and
supports me. Moreover, I would like a partner who has a good
sense of humor because I like to joke and act silly. Thirdly,
because I like talking and learning new things, I want a partner
who is intelligent. Also, I want a partner who is honest
because I think honesty is connected to trust, and both
honesty and trust are important in a relationship. Lastly, I want
a partner who has good manners because I want my family
and friends to respect and be proud of my partner.

i use to be afraid of big animals like horses but one day my mom sent
me to a horse-riding camp I was nine years old when i went to the
camp and it was summer it was my first time at the camp and I was
really excited on the first day of camp i had my first chance to ride a
horse my riding teacher told me to comb the horse’s hair first because
she thought it would help relax me it worked because i had never
ridden on a horse before I started to shake when i got on it however i
quickly started to really enjoy it i felt so proud to be learning how to
