Across Atlantic
TCAs first crossing was a 12-hour and 26-minute flight from Montreal to Prestwick, Scotland, on July 22, 1943 A military aircraft converted for civilian use carries three passengers on official government business. The first trips in these flying tin cans were uncomfortable for both passengers and crew. They proved to be an invaluable training ground for the companys future transatlantic passenger services.
