HSDPA Code Allocation Tree

This document describes the code allocation for HSDPA and HSUPA in a cell. It shows that with HSDPA enabled, 15 high speed downlink shared channel (HS-PDSCH) codes are allocated for spreading factor values up to 64, while common channel codes are allocated for 128 and 256. It also notes that with both HSDPA and HSUPA enabled, only 14 HS-PDSCH codes can be allocated due to the additional codes required for the uplink channels.
