INTRODUCTION

Automated Time Table Generator is the software that has been developed in JAVA. It is basically a program that enables one to create time table by simply choosing from the various options available and also by adding new records. The software also enables one to print the time table in suitable format along with the teachers name and the subject to be taught by concerned teacher along with the class and lunch duration.

SCOPE

Colleges are supposed to make time tables for each semester every year which is used to be a very tedious and pain staking job. Than also in some cases the problem occurs that any one teacher gets two classes at same time or any one has got more classes to take and others getting only few. All these problems will be taken care of by this Automated Time Table Generator. This project is aimed at developing a time table generator for colleges. Each teacher is eligible for viewing their own timetable once they are finalized for a given semester for the current year but they cant edit them.

OBJECTIVES
A lot of paper work would be avoided. It will save much of the time that to on a great extent. It will also provide a list of subjects to choose from and enables one to add more subjects dynamically.

Enabling a teacher to take classes in more than one department. Storing the previous time table generated. Enabling one to store the previous time table generated for future use. Enabling one to compare time table previously generated. Extending the use of program for scheduling the organizational activities rather than using it only for academic purpose.
