SMS Based File Sharing Using GSM

This document describes an SMS-based file sharing system. The system allows users to upload files to a server for backup and sharing. Users can then send SMS messages with a file link, recipient email, and password to share files without internet access. The server will validate the SMS and automatically email the file link to the recipient. The system was designed with modules for the portal, database, GSM connection, and user interface. Screenshots of the registration, sign in, file upload, and main pages are provided. Requirements including the operating system, software, and hardware are also listed. The conclusion discusses how the system enables affordable file sharing from any location.

INTRODUCTION

File sharing by the user with others without accessing the internet from any place using SMS. Helps the user to share a file with others from a remote place where there is no internet availability.

EXISTING SYSTEM

At the present scenario there are many problems to share our personal files with others. Some of the problems faced in the present scenario are:

Internet is necessary to share files with others.

No efficient online backup for the files. User direct interaction with the site is necessary for emailing.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

To overcome the drawbacks of the existing system, we have come out with the following features: Online file sharing

SMS based communication

Online data backup Emailing User management

DESIGN PHASE

Master page :Defines a common UI frame, shared by all pages in a

web page.

Register page :User credentials are registered sequentially. Sign in page: Username and password of the user is entered and
authenticated.

My account page: Files are uploaded by the user. Default page: User defined page. Main screen: Displays the output after interfacing the GSM modem
with the server.
