Green Technology

Green technology provides a solution to global warming by offering environmentally friendly and renewable alternatives to fossil fuels. Some examples of green technologies include geo-thermal energy, biofuels, wind power, and solar power. While green technology is currently in early development stages, it has benefits of being clean with zero carbon emissions and is renewable. The technology can also potentially bring economic benefits to certain areas. However, green technology is often seen as very expensive and unable to meet current global energy demands, though these views are challenged as fossil fuel production is expected to decline sharply in the coming decades.

GREEN TECHNOLOGY

-An Alternative to Fossil Fuel

Prepared By: Saif Muhammad Musfir Rahman Department: IPE Roll: 0908002

RED ALERT
Ultra Violet Rays + Smog and Haze Ozone Layer = GLOBAL WARMING Chaos

END OF THE WORLD?...

NOT YET.

WE DO HAVE A SOLUTION

WHAT IS GREEN TECHNOLOGY?

Green technology is that in which the technology is environmentally friendly and is created and used in a way that conserves natural resources and the environment. Currently, this Clean Technology is in the beginning stages of its development, so the future will only bring bigger and better things for this field.

Some examples:
Geo-thermal energy Biofuels Wind power Solar power

WHY???.....
It is clean. Zero carbon emission. It is renewable. Can bring economic benefits to certain areas.

THE SO CALLED DILEMMA

Very expensive Will not support the amount of energy that we use today. Difficult to implement
VS

THE REALITY

Fossil fuel production is expected to peak in the near future. Oil production will start declining in 2012 followed by natural gas in 2020 and coal between 2020 and 2030. 86% of the worlds primary power comes from fossil fuels. <2% of the worlds primary power comes from renewable sources (geothermic, solar, wind, etc.)
