JOB TITLE : OFFICE ASSISTANT College : IBS Mumbai Job Description: This individual is responsible for providing administrative support to staff and assuming bookkeeping, reservation, reception and attending telephone calls . Duties and Responsibilities :Assume receptionist duties, greet public and refer them to appropriate staff members, answer phone,route calls, and take messages. Assist staff with administrative duties as requested. Oversee database management for quality assurance. Solving queries of students and faculty Maintain accurate daily accounting of fees, donations and other revenue. Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail including bulk mail. Maintain front desk area, keeping it clean and free from clutter. Type and word process documents as needed. Order office supplies and monitor inventory. Update and maintain mailing lists.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Minimum two years clerical or administrative experience. Typing skills with at least 50 WPM. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system. Working Hours : Monday to Saturday Advancement Potential Library Assistant positions are generally an entry level position with some opportunity for advancement. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
