Tax In Push Out Procedure (TIPO)

Preplan Activity -Type of aircraft coming -Plan equipments required -Know parking bay -Look out for FOD on parking bay

Chocking

Communication 3 Arrival

GRD-Ground FD-Flight Deck GRD-FD Call FD-GRD -Go head GRD-FD -Chocks in position FD-GRD Brakes released /Releasing brakes. - Brakes are staying on etc.

GRD give a clear signal to ground handling equipment to be positioned. Fix steering lock out pin to prevent aircraft pressure locking out.

Departure

Check lock out (steering) pin Connect towbar and tug master. FD-GRD - Give me your checks GRD-FD - All doors and hatches closed, steering lockout pin in position and aircraft is cleared ready to push out.

OR All ground checks completed and aircraft is cleared for push back. FD-GRD Clear to pressurize/ clear hydraulics.

GRD-FD-Aircraft is cleared to pressurize (asking if can switch on hydraulic pumps)

FD-GRD We have been given pushback start clearance for runaway 17 or 35. GRD-FD Release brakes for pushback. FD-GRD Brakes released, clear to push GRD-FD Pushing out. GRD Signal brake released to driver and direction of nose. Remove chocks and start push

End and Pushback

GRD-FD Brakes to park/ set parking brakes/pushback completed set brakes. FD-GRD- Parking brakes set/ Brakes set. Give signal of brake set. Remove equipment. Disconnect tug from tow bar. Disconnect tow bar from aircraft. Pin is last to be removed.

Engine starts during or End of push back


FD-GRD Clear engine number GRD-FD Engine number clear for start. Note: Do physical walk around ie number FOD, step offs, cones off, tow bar, no loading no personnel If not ok!!! GD-FD standby for start GRD-FD N1 rotation

FD-GRD checked (you are all at per) FD-GRD Engines are stable/start is complete clear to disconnect, hand signal on the left or awaiting your clearance. GRD-FD Ground equipment disconnected final clearance and pin to the left /right. RWY 17 Clearance on right. 35 clearance on left.

Problems encountered while pushing out

Breakage of share pins broken with head attached to aircraft. broken with head disconnected from tug Drivers slow down the tug and brakes GRD-FD Shear pin breakage set, parking brakes

APU problem (receiving)

GRD-FD Chocks in position standby for GPU GRD-FD GPU connected

Starting with an ASU (Air Start Unit)

FD-GRD Pressurize the air (pnematics) GRD-FD Standby for air/pnematics GRD-FD Starter manifold pressurized clear N, (engines) FD-GRD disconnect ground equipments GRD-FD Standby GRD-FD Ground equipment disconnected ready for push back or
