Gokart Arduino Presentation

The document summarizes the components and testing of an electric go kart that uses an Arduino microcontroller. It describes the microcontroller, IR sensor and encoder wheel module for speed detection, LCD display for information output, and an H-bridge circuit. Testing included checking voltages, blinking LEDs to test pins, calibrating the IR sensor for accurate speed readings, and interfacing challenges between simulation and real implementation. The total budget for the LCD, Arduino, and other components was $87.

The Testing of MCU

Measure the +5V DC using DC Volt function on multi-meter to check whether it is in short circuit condition. Simple program to blink or light LED on and off to check the Pin

IR SENSOR & Encoder Wheel Module

Low-range IR emitter detector amplified signal circuit

Testing and Consequences

Testing The Receiver/Sensor and Sender IR LED is placed an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch apart maximum, parallel and almost contacting. Glow of IR LED by using the digital camera. Measure the sensor input by DMM in ambient light & when a piece of white paper is held near to the module. The data is taken and varied along with motor during calibration.
