Bougainville Island is the name of this Sovereign and Independent Nation. In the local tongue Bougainville is translated as Mekamui, a tropical island, located west of the Solomon Islands and east of Papua New Guinea and with dimensions of 3,597.7 square miles. The biblical name for Bougainville Island is Ophir. King Solomon got his gold and valuable wood from here. Bougainville Island is a devout Christian Nation having natural resources such as gold, copper and a deepwater bay called Queen Carola Harbour. A significant amount of the total gold-production of the world came from the gold-mines of Bougainville.

What is the International Bank of Mekamui?
