Assignment 2

Motivation plays a central role in the teaching and learning process. It arouses and sustains learning effort, directing students' behavior toward educational goals. Without sufficient motivation, little learning will take place and any learning will soon be forgotten. However, adequate motivation releases energy that allows the learning process to continue. The document then lists strategies for motivating students, such as satisfying their needs, making them active participants, maintaining a pleasant environment, linking new learning to past experiences, using effective teaching methods and aids, providing immediate feedback, rewarding success, and introducing students to peers' good work. Following these steps can help students develop greater patience, confidence, and intrinsic motivation to learn.
