I say this every year because it is so true. We had another phenomenal Vacation Bible School. The 350 plus children that attended is three times more than we have on Sunday. The Bible lessons, crafts, activities and worship all pointed children to faith in Jesus Christ. Just another reason Im glad to be a part of Eastmont. We will combine our two morning worship services on July 1 for a special patriotic service. It will be a tight fit but it is always worth it. I appreciate those who attend the first service for their schedule adjustment. We have never spent much money on advertisement. We have relied upon our visible location, special events, and most of all, your personal invitations. The best advertisement is a satisfied customer. Most of us live in unchanging neighborhoods with unchanging attitudes about church. Most of your neighbors have decided if and where they will attend church (even if they never really attend). So to reach these sometimes hardened and resistant people, will require much patience and great prayer. But we should never give up on anyone. Because they are not receptive today, doesnt mean they wont be receptive tomorrow. Always be sensitive, caring and friendly. Never be pushy or rude. Remember we do the possible. God does the impossible. I love this quote The greatness of a church is not its seating capacity but its sending capacity. This summer Eastmont will have sent over 100 members on mission trips. By the end of the year it will exceed 130. PTL. By the way, a patriotic service like the one on July 1 might interest that hard to reach neighbor. Why not invite them? Ill see you Sunday,
