TUTORIAL: CREATING BANNER 2 PART A: FIRE BACKGROUND 1. Create a new image with dimensions 750 x 100.
2. Next we want to draw a gradient line with black at the top and white at the bottom. Check your colors window, make sure primary color = black and secondary color = white.
3. Choose gradient tool from tools window. Change gradient type = linear & gradient mode = color mode.

4. Click and drag down at your working area to get the gradient color.
5. Create a new layer. Double click layer 2 to edit its properties. Set the Blending mode to Overlay.

6. Go to your menu bar and choose Effects | Render | Clouds. Change the blending mode to Difference, Scale = 360 and Roughness = 0.60
Output after apply clouds effect 7. Go to menu bar and choose Adjustments | Curves. Untick Red and Blue to adjust Green color. Then untick Red and Green to adjust Blue color.

Fire background 8. Save your background as fireBackground_name.pdn Part B: Insert Images 1. Open file image1.jpg 2. Next we want to select a portion of the image & paste inside our fire background. Used a rectangle select selection. to make a

6. Drag your new image to the right of the canvas and adjust the size.

8. Next we want to adjust opacity for image1 layer. Double click image1 layer and then change opacity from 255 to 180.
9. Next we want to copy another image. Used Move Selection to move your selection to another portion of the image. Press Ctrl + C.

12. Next we want to delete the white background for the second image. Choose magic wand and then click at white background.
13. Press delete key from your keyboard.
14. Delete all the white background for image2. Adjust the tolerance setting to make the selection.
15. Choose Effects | Object | AAs Assistant
16. Next press F4 and you will get layer properties dialog box. Settings; name = image2; mode = difference and opacity = 114.

17. Next we want to paste another image. Used Move Selection to move your selection to another portion of the image. Press Ctrl + C.

19. Next we want to delete background area for the third image. Choose magic wand and then click background area. Press delete key from your keyboard.
20. Next press F4 and you will get layer properties dialog box. Settings; name = image3 and opacity = 114.
Part C : Insert text 1. Create a new layer. Rename the layer as text. 2. Choose text tool from tool window and then click inside your canvas. 3. Click More button at your color window. Then follow the setting for primary color.

5. Open tiger.jpg image. Make a rectangle selection at tiger face. Ctrl C to copy.
6. Paste the tiger face at your banner.
7. Adjust the new image. Put on the top of your text.
