Key Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for all QA/QC activities to be carried out according to international codes and standards for the petroleum, Power and heavy engineering industry. Approve and qualification of WPS, PQR, WQT and NDT as per ASME section IX, AWS D1.1, and EEMUA158. Approve procedures for PWHT, hydrotest, painting, repair welding, NDT, NDT map and weld map. Quality Control / Assurance procedures, quality control manual, Plan / work instruction, Inspection and Test Plans according to project / client requirements and follow-up for its approval and monitor the implementation. Ensure all inspections are carried out according to the QC Manual and are properly documented. Advise welding methods, consumables heat treatment and methods of inspection. Evaluate , Perform subcontractors/Vendor Development in radiography, MPI & UT and heat treatment Qualification as per Organization procedure. Reviewing hydrostatic test package, carry out line checks, preparing pre hydrostatic, pre commissioning punch list according to clients Typical Inspection Plan, Inspection Check list and procedure. Conduct final inspection and hydro-test according to client's requirement and international codes and standards and coordination with third party inspector. Ensure ISO9001 procedures have been observed and performed according to the Quality Manual. Accomplish Pre Inspection/Kick off Meeting where required, witness stage / final inspection of equipment like Pressure Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Vessels, Columns, Heat Exchangers, Boilers and Packages etc at vendor works in line with, product, project procedures and standards.

Prepare weekly, monthly quality reports as per contract requirements and as requested by the Quality Control/Project Manager. Taking corrective action on all non-conformances. Ensure that works are coordinated in an effective manner so that programmed objectives are achieved.

Skills

Familiar with Boiler fabrication as per ASME, IBR and API codes. Familiar with Welding procedure Specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification record (PQR), Welder performance qualification (WPQ) as per ASMESec IX, AWS D1.1, and EEMUA158. Working Knowledge of with QA/QC Fabrication, welding inspection of ASME/IBR stamped Industrial High pressure Boilers, Package boilers , Pressure vessel(Rubber lined, PVDF, FRP, PP coated) and pipelines (Oil & Gas, Nuclear Power Plant,HVAC , chilled water piping , Biological shielding piping ,fire sprinkler piping-CuNi ).
