Iam miruthula from AIHT.Infosys came for on campus to our college on 2nd september.The pre-placement talk was already provided a couple of days back.first we have to fill in an application form.after this the first round begins.The first round consisted of two sections 1.reasoning 2.verbal ability reasoning : there were 5 que on figure analogy, 10 que on puzzles(a cube is coloured with 6 colours on the six faces,what is the colour on the upper face...such kind of puzzles and another puzzle on seating arrangement) 5 que based on data integration(pie-chart), 5 que on logic deduction(5 sentences were given and u have to find the logical relation between them). you dont have to study any puzzles from shakuntala devi and all.its not necessary.just think and work out. verbal ability: 8 que on choose the correct sentence,6 que on choose the correct phrase,theme detection type que(5),and two comprehensions(10 que).my god the comprehensions will make you go crazy literally. some 160 + students were shortlisted for HR interview my interview experience: I had a two panel interview.two kind looking ladies.one was silent and the other one interviewed me me:may I come in? hr:please do come in.have a seat. me:thank u mam. hr:can I have your resume?(handed it over to her) hr:did u keep your name according to numerology? me:no mam hr:tell me about your schooling me:told hr:how do you motivate others? me:told hr:why did u choose engineering? me:told hr:why eee? me:told hr:what do u admire the most in ur college? me:told

hr:when do u get frustrated? me:told hr:have you organised anything in coll? me:told hr:what is your aim in life? me:told hr:do u hav any que? me:I asked some 3 que.she answered it well. then I thanked her and went off. they are yet to announce the results. so guys who want to make it to infosys,just clear the aptitude and you are almost through.in the hr they will mainly test your communication skills.u dont have to study any thing from shakuntala devi and all.time management is the only key to success.all the best.

Hi guys, I am Bhaswati from ECE.Infosys started its recruitment procedure on 23rd Aug in our college.Our reporting time was 1-30pm.At first a wonderful ppt presentation was given which was followed by 2 videos.One of them was " how will you define big".Trust me it was just superb.Ahh,dat mysore campus...looked just fascinating in the other video. recruitment process consists of two rounts. 1st one aptitude round and 2nd one HR round. At about 4-50pm our aptitude test started.There were two sections. 1.reasoning 2.verbal In reasoning part there were 30 questions,40min time. In verbal section there were 40 question 35 min time. out of 492 students 367 cleared aptitude test. In reasoning section there were:=>picture puzzle(5 questions) =>2 puzzles(5 + 5 =10 questions) =>data sufficiency (5 questions) =>data interpretation(5 questions) =>5 questions were like : you provided with a statement " If B wears black,A will go with B." options were1.A wont go with B.

2.B 3.B 4.B Choose two term of this

wears purple. doesn't wear black. wont go with A. options in which 2nd option follows the 1st one.I don't know the exact type of questions.

In verbal section there were:=>2 paragraphs( 1 large n 2nd one is a little smaller) => sentence correction => sentence completion => theme detection => sentence improvement Large paragraph was too much time consuming.Try to solve it after attempting rest of the questions. at about 10-15pm results were announced. HR session was on the next day.it was like:me: good morning sir. HR: good morning.have seat.(after taking a quick look at my cv) you are from bengali medium.did u face any prob in heritage? me: told HR: do you watch hollywood movies? me: told HR: what have u done in your summar project? me: told HR: how did you manage the project work? me: told HR: Do you have any problem in getting placed out of state? me: told HR: what food will you be missing the most then? me: told HR: what do you do in your leisure? me: told HR: how do you plan for day to day life? me: told HR: do you stay in hostel? me: told HR: ok Bhaswati. Thank you. me: it was nice to meet you sir. Have a nice day. In HR round they just check your communication skill and confidence in representing your personal view regarding things. Finally,results were declared on 27th Aug.357 students were finally selected. I was one of them.see you at mysore.

Paper 1 Logical Reasoning Time:11:00a.m. to 11:40a.m. Q1 Visual Reasoning Out of five figure one was not given.Five options were given.We had to choose the correct option from the given options.(R.S.Agarwal Non-verbal section Chapter 1 Series) Q2 Questions on logic were asked. Q3 Puzzle Test(Classification) Q4 Data Interpretation (A bar graph was given) Q5 Puzzle Test(Classification) Q6 Syllogism(R.S.Agarwal Logical Deduction Chapter 1 Logic) In all 30 Qs to be solved in 40 minutes Paper 2 Verbal Ability Time :12:00p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Q1 Four sentences were given and we had to find out which sentence was grammatically correct. Q2 A part of the sentence is underlined and we are suppose to correct that part.Four options are given, the one that seems to be logically and grammatically correct must be chosen. Q3 Fill in the blanks with appropriate option. Q4 Comprehension Q5 Comprehension In all 40 Qs to be solved in 30 minutes All the topics are present in Quantitative Aptitude by R. S.Agarwal and Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning by R.S.Agarwal

Infosys had its 1st campus recruitment procedure of 2011 in the country---in our college on 17th Aug,2011. Before the aptitude test u need to fill up a form which includes each and every details of yours. The apti paper consisted of 2 parts. Verbal nd logical reasoning. it was pretty easy.The important part was time management. If you can manage answering the questions keeping the time limit in mind then its very easy to get selected in the apti.There was no such specialities regarding books like rs agarwal or shakuntala devi or barron's.You should go thru agarwal nd dats more than enuf!! Once u get selected in the apti,almost all get selected in the final list. Interview round is the easiest one. Just simple ques were asked like tell me abt urself,why infosys...u need to keep the answers ready 4 these common ques!! The results were announced on 19th Aug.nd I was verrry happy 2 hear my name! :-) Best of luck 2 u all!! See u @ Mysore.

Infosys Technologies has got the most structured recruitment process among all IT companies in India. First of all, they do not have any distinction between any branch of Engg. Whatever be the branch, you can sit up for the selection process if you qualify their other eligibility criteria like marks and time gap. i.e Once you had appeared for any test at Infosys, you will have to wait for 9 months until you appear for any of their recruitment process.
