STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
I introduce myself as a student who is graduating from K.V.S.R. SIDDHRATHA COLLEGE OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, Vijayawada, and Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. My school days imparted me in laying up a good foundation with all round development. It was the inquisitiveness and hard work that made me one among the top students in all levels of study.. Faith in my ability and a sense of achievement has been a constant motivating factor towards building my career.
The purpose of learning is to gain knowledge which is the ultimate everlasting power. Such knowledge is attained only through lot of dedication and hard work. Learning is a continuous process through which we accumulate knowledge .It is this pursuit of knowledge that has been my motivation and has made me apply for a Masters degree in the field of BIOTECHNOLOGY in your esteemed university. The vast application, potential and tremendous scope for research in Biotechnology has always fascinated me and I am keen to continue my academic pursuit in this field in your esteemed university. I have always striven to realize my potential and I believe that the academic program of RUSH UNIVERSITY will best equip me in doing so. A Masters in Biotechnology and further research is my ultimate scholastic objective which will enable me to work in the field of Biotechnology and contribute my mite in the area of interest. Biotechnology, in the recent years, has created unprecedented opportunities, not only for the manipulation of biological systems, for the benefit of logical systems, for the benefit of mankind but also for undertaking studies to understand the fundamental life processes. The field of Biotechnology exceeds the boundless possibilities of innovation and has always set forth multiple platforms for development. It is one area that has changed our lives and that is going to shape our future for centuries to come. There are a variety of diseases prevailing worldwide. But very few of them can be cured. Current methods of treatment available are only being affordable by the cream of the society. My dream is to make the treatment available to every sufferer on this planet. Though it may be exaggerating, it is my dream.
Using the experience and knowledge in my field, I want to develop remedy for wide variety of diseases which would be affordable to everyone. One of the most serious threats to the world is
global warming which has harmful effect to every living being on this planet. I want to find a possible solution using the Biotechnological Techniques to reduce the forthcoming danger. Agriculture is the major sector on which many people rely upon and moreover is the ultimate source for mankind to survive. Using the latest technological aspects of biotechnology, I want to develop disease resistant and hybrid varieties of crops at affordable costs which will be a boon to this sector. There are many other applications of biotechnology which will be very useful to the present and future generations. Due to these reasons, I strongly want to pursue my Masters and further research in the field of Biotechnology and render my contribution to the society as a part of my service. To pursue a fruitful research oriented career the main objective is to find a better place of study which will quest my thirst for knowledge. So, finally I made up my mind to pursue my Masters in an American university as it is the ultimate place to pursue a research oriented career with its advanced research facilities.
As a student I completed my tenth standard in ANDHRA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL, KHAMMAM. Since my schoolhood, study of various elements relating to chemistry
have fascinated me and evinced my interest through consistent hard work to grasp the basics of the subjects. This habit fetched me with a good percentage of 81.6%. I
did my intermediate in NALANDA Jr. College where my interest was further increased with the further exposure to the basic mechanisms of both organic and inorganic chemistry. I got a percent of 62.9% in post secondary school. I am at present in the final year of my B.Pharmacy. I am glad to inform you that my academics are very good since my childhood. My interest in knowing about the latest topics has made me to read about some of the latest topics like, Supra molecular drug delivery systems. At present I am performing my project work under the guidance of Professor DR.G.DEVALA RAO, namely

and
Extractive
Spectrophotometry. I am glad to inform you that I have been to LAILA IMPEX , vijayawada which is reputed industry for implant training for a period of 3 weeks, and I have also been to FYTOCHEM , enikepadu for implant training for about 4 weeks , where I have learned the operation of HPLC, HPTLC and GC which will add to my practical knowledge. I have also participated in the poster presentation at SHRI VISHNU college of Pharmacy, BHIMAVARAM and BAPATLA College of pharmacy, BAPATLA and in our college also as mentioned in resume. Iam presently working on a review article related to Antibodies and Antigens from Plant sources, which I am thinking of sending to oral presentation at VIGNAN College of Pharmacy, Guntur. I also am looking forward to going for industrial training in an esteemed industry in analysis section to learn the operation of different analytical instruments. I have also participated in sports and had won some prizes as I know that sports and education are equally important for a persons growth. I believe that the passion that I have for learning more about Biotechnology will ultimately lead me to do serious research in this field. It is with this view point that I have applied for the graduate program in Biotechnology in RUSH UNIVERSITY. I have carefully studied the prescribed curriculum and I do believe that they will best equip me excellently to pursue my interest in this field successfully. I am confident that if accepted, I have the commitment and ability to put in necessary hard work that the challenging course schedule will undoubtedly require. Henceforth I am looking forward to being a part of your esteemed university.
Given the chance to prove my worth, I can assert with confidence that I would be able to vigorously participate in the frontline research activities at your university. I hope that I will be privileged to be a part of the action.
