e-newsletter produced by a small group of Wyoming dog rescuers in an effort to highlight shelter dogs in critical need of help.

I especially love people and enjoy giving them kisses. In fact, the day I went outside for my pictures, one of the first things I did was to give my handler lots of kisses. I enjoyed the loves he gave me in return. I am housebroken and use to living inside and outside. I enjoy going for a walk. I am very friendly and fun-loving. Wont someone please give me a second chance in life? SKETCHER is a German Shepherd mix, 1 year old. Hi Everyone Im Sketcher, a gorgeous dog who is sweet, loving, and very gentlemanly. I like people and other dogs, and am very playful with both. I am easy to leash and I walk well on leash. I also enjoy jogging. I am neutered, friendly, quiet, and I enjoy pets. I am looking for a new family to love and I hope someone will give me that chance. Please come meet me at the pound!

e-WOOF spotlights many dogs that face euthanasia within days unless they are rescued, fostered, or adopted.
Transport can be arranged, in most cases, to approved adoptive or foster homes or rescue organizations. Please help us! These are good, healthy, happy, loving dogs that are out of luck and out of time. We urge you to crosspost to e-mail lists and Web groups, forward to friends, send to co-workers, and share with family. We hope our efforts, combined with yours, will save many lives.

RENO is a Lab mix, 9 months old. My name is Reno. I am a sweet guy who is young and loves to play. I like people and other dogs. Going for a walk? Need some company? Im your guy! I think I also might like going for a run. At nine months old, I am a fun loving pup who is full of life and very playful. I am hoping a new person will come into my life and give me a forever home. JASMINE is a Heeler mix. I am Jasmine and I am 8 months old all puppy, full of fun and good times. In fact, my motto is let the good times roll. I am adorable and love to play, play, play! I am spayed. I like people and other dogs. As you can see, Im rather cute even if I say so myself! I would very much like to have a new leash on life and hope someone will give me a chance. Please come meet me and lets go for a walk. ____________ Wyoming Aussie Rescue -- Sheridan, WY Contact: Annette at [email protected] BLUE. Everyones best guess is that BLUE is a Catahoula Leopard
/Australian Shepherd Mix. Hes neutered, current on all his shots - the Vet in Rawlins guessed his age to be about 4, and Im guessing hes about 70 pounds. Hes VERY happy here in his new surroundings and behaving like the perfect house guest. He took to my two dogs (females) immediately and loves to play with them, but at the same time, is always gentle and respectful of them. Hes also very affectionate to my husband and me. Blue comes when hes called, listens to you when you talk to him, and knows his SIT, DOWN and STAY commands. He loves to ride in the car and will jump in as soon as the door opens up. I can already say with complete assurance that hes housebroken. Havent heard him make a sound since he got here; no barking, no whining. Sleeps until YOU get out of bed (course Im up early, so that might not be sayin much!). ____________

In most cases, time is limited for the dogs featured in our newsletters--with that in mind, we try to get the word out to as many contacts as we can using this publication. Work on behalf of the animals for finding them homes and/ or rescues comes from many, many sources and is an ONGOING effort dealt with a sense of urgency. In some cases there may be times when a sudden adoption and/or rescue comes through at the exact time our newsletter is issued. This is an unforeseen circumstance on our part--while we certainly understand the crossover may cause frustrations for you as the prospective adopter of an animal we hope you join us in rejoicing for an animal being saved. sake- although we do not think he has any Pit in him! This opinion is supported by several vets and dog enthusiasts who agree! Roscoe came from a hoarding situation. We believe he is Shar Pei, Beagle, and Chow mix! He is very sweet, LOVES people, goofy as all get out, and is starting to learn some manners. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is ready for adoption or we would love to get him in a foster HOME where he can learn to be an indoor companion. He is sort of like a bull in a china shop now- but we feel it is because he has not had a chance to be with people very much- which is his FAVORITE thing- so he is super wiggly and bouncy when he is! ____________

hes been in the shelter a very, very long time. Hes a beautiful brindle year and a half old Pit Bull mix, who is very smart and has a lot of personality. He knows basic commands. He has been neutered and fully vaccinated. He gets along with other dogs at Metro but we believe that he can become a bit of an alpha male in a home situation, so should be either an only dog or with a female companion. He loves treats and walks well on a leash. He loves all people. Behavior with cats is unknown.

ty. He has been at Metro longer than ANY other kitty and would love to finally have a home of his own. He has tested NEGATIVE for FIV/FELV and has been neutered and fully vaccinated. Hes a healthy, sweet boy, who is litter box trained and would get along with any other pets in your home. He is affectionate and playful and loves to be petted and to sit on your lap.

ONYX is a pretty Pit Bull mix girl who is about two years old. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated and has been in foster for a couple of months and has learned a lot about being a lady! She loves people and other dogs, but isnt crazy about kitty cats, so she needs to be in a cat-free home. She knows lots of commands, walks well on a leash and would be a big asset for any home. ____________

all vaccinations and microchipped! She was brought in to AVHS with two other sisters and they were all very shy. Since coming in to us, Azlyn has been living in a wonderful foster home where she has been getting all kinds of socialization and exposure! She would do great in just about any home, but may need to live with older children just based on her shy disposition. She has lived blissfully with other dogs (male and female) and has met many cats in her time that she didnt pay any attention to. Azlyn is a beautiful soul who is just looking for the right situation. She has been in the shelter for too long and deserves a loving furr-ever home of her own!! ____________

TIME LIMITED -- Rawlins, WY Contact: (307) 328-4534 or [email protected] SPUR is a male Blue Heeler around 5 or 6 years old. He is a good boy that who will come when called and sit by your side. He is a smart fella who should be easy to train. Rub his belly as a reward and he will whine in delight! He does pretty good with other dogs as long as they are not too hyper. Spur does not care for cats. It does take him a little bit to warm up to you so probably best in a home with older children.

MARMADUKE is a young neutered Lab/Great Dane mix about

3 years old. He loves to run around and act goofy. He is learning how to sit. He has lots and lots of energy so he would make a great walking or hiking companion.
