Proposal/Pitch: Imagine it's 1920 in New York, right in the heart of one of America's important historical time periods;

alcohol prohibition. What happens when a respectable godfather of the largest mafia family in New York needs something done and done right? Not go to his son Luigi Cavezza for help, that's for sure. Luigi, who was raised around his father's business, just never really seemed to understand what was going on or how he could help. In his ignorance, he began to wander in confusion and perform petty operations that were of no benefit to anyone other than himself. He would demand his favorite local doughnut shop to give him free doughnuts whenever he wishes, or forced bars in his fathers control of to serve him all the alcohol he desires. Unfortunately for Luigi, this is all about to change. With a little nudging from his right hand man and anger with his son's mockery of his well built business, the Godfather decides to make his son prove himself. Considering the times, the Godfather gives Luigi the task of smuggling still highly demanded illegal amounts of alcohol for the mobsters profit. Facing opposition from the Godfather's crooked right hand man and his own idiocy, Luigi sets out to do the impossible in order to please his father and end up finding himself by the end of this perilous mission. Luigi Cavezza is the protagonist of this riveting tale of young man struggling to find his place in the world. His goofy appearance, lack of common sense, and cluelessness make it difficult for him to fit into his father's mafia business which he has been forced into by family trade. Luckily his partner, Mikey Luciano, is there to push Luigi in the right direction, which is nearly impossible. Mikey serves as a motivator and supporter for Luigi throughout the development of the movie, which is the only way

Luigi has a chance of surviving. Eventually Luigi's father, and boss, Al Boss Cavezza gets fed up with Luigi constantly giving his business a bad name, yet he is utterly confused about what to do about the situation. After a conversation about prohibition coming into effect, the Boss' right hand man suggests Luigi must smuggle a large supply of alcohol from Canada back to New York in order to prove his worth to the business, and if he fails he should be kicked out of the mafia forever. Out of love for his son, the Boss is skeptical about the idea, but after his right hand man's relentless persuasion he finally agrees it is what must be done.

William Moll 4/9/12 11:48 AM Comment [7]: I have a fairly good grasp of what you are trying to do with the concept. I see the story unfolding, and it has the potential to be a good one. I think that you leave room for a lot of leniency with your idea. If you added more detail to everything, it could be more clear and more enjoyable for the reader. Be sure to add the correct MLA format and a title.
Other than that, great job so far and good luck with the rest.
