The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), an institution of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and IT, Government of India represents a unique facet to the nation's policies and initiatives in Information Technology. It is an institution for high-end research and development (R&D). C-DAC is internationally recognized for its celebrated PARAM series of supercomputers, multilingual and multimedia products, software technology, high-end trainings and several other advanced computing initiatives. Interested candidates, who fulfil the eligibility requirements for obtaining admission to the FPGDST/FPGDIS-2011 courses through the entrance test, should enter the A-3 application form on-line or download this form from http://cst.cdacmumbai.in, fill this in manually, attach the necessary documents and send it to C-DAC, Juhu, Mumbai on or before July 1, 2011. Candidates or their representatives may submit the application form in person at C-DAC, Juhu, Mumbai, on all working days (Monday to Friday), between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

FPGDST The Full-Time Post-Graduate Diploma in Advanced Software Technology (FPGDST) is a one-year full-time programme which imparts rigorous training in the complete software development process. The programme will broadly cover the following topics: Programming Fundamentals (PRGF) Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science (MFCS) Systems and Networks (SNET) Application Development using Database Systems and Web Technologies (ADWE) Object Oriented Analysis and Design and Software Engineering, with Soft Skills (SSKL) FPGDIS The Full-Time Post Graduate Diploma in Information Security (FPGDIS) is a six-month, full-time programme broadly covering the following modules: Programming Fundamentals (PRGF) covering procedural programming with C, Object Oriented Programming with Java and Data Structures and Algorithms. Systems and Networks (SNET) covering operating system components and basic networking and network programming concepts. Operating system, network and information security are also covered in this module. M.C.A. PROVISIONAL ADMISSION will be given to the following candidates:- a) who are in the final year of their qualifying degree/diploma b) have cleared ALL THEIR EARLIER semesters/yearly EXAMS and c) HAVE APPEARED FOR THEIR FINAL YEAR/FINAL SEMESTER EXAMINATION and are awaiting their results, provided they are able to produce proof of passing their qualifying degree (either the convocation degree or a provisional passing certificate from the University/State Technical Board) on or before December 31, 2011. Candidates who are unable to do so will have their admission suspended until they are able to produce the required proof of qualification. NO REFUND OF COURSE FEES WILL BE MADE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
