Puberty Period
The puberty Period is normally between 12 years to 16 years. The hypothalamus is a gland in the brain responsible for regulating the body's thirst, hunger, sleep patterns, libido and endocrine functions. It releases the chemical messenger Follicle Stimulating Hormone Releasing Factor (FSH-RF) to tell the pituitary, another gland in the brain, to do its job. The pituitary then secretes Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and a little Luteinizing Hormone (LH) into the bloodstream which cause the follicles to begin to mature. During the period, the secondary sexual characters like development of breast, the growth of pubic hairs and the mature feminine voice occurs.
Fertility Period
The fertility period is normally starts from the age of 21 years to 35 years. This is the optimum period for pregnancy and child birth.
Menopause
Normally the menopause stage is expected between the ages of 45 years to 55 years depending upon the hereditary factors. During this time, the fertility factor decreases and menstrual cycle is not regular and the menstrual flow will be heavy and the number of period days increases from 3 to 15 days.
