History

Jaihind Projects Ltd. started as Jaihind Welding Works, a small metals and welding workshop in Rajkot in the year 1963 by Late Mr. Lalchand Hinduja. His zeal, leadership and dedication towards work led his clients entrusting him to take on projects of larger size, leading him to build a team of technocrats and engineers to focus and take on oil & gas pipeline projects against competition from major engineering firms. In the coming decades, this entrepreneur from a remote city went on to execute some of the longest pipeline projects in the country. In the year 1985, the company got its current name when it got converted from sole proprietorship to private limited company. Four years later, Mr. Prakash Hinduja, the current Chairman and Managing Director, succeeded Mr. Lalchand Hinduja. Under his leadership, the company went public on 24th March, 1995. The quality of work executed over next decade called for national as well as global recognition. In the year 2007, JPL formed a consortium with a leading engineering firm in Middle East, with whom it was successful in bagging GAIL's project. In 2008, JPL went global by opening its office in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. It formed another consortium in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia in 2009, where it was successful in bagging its first projects in the two countries, signalling the commencement of its transformation into a global contractor.

The management of the company is led by: Mr. Prakash Hinduja, Chairman & Managing Director Mr. Prakash Hinduja has served as the Chairman and Managing Director since 1989, prior to which he was CEO since 1980. Under his leadership, Jaihind has grown strength to strength in various areas of engineering & infrastructure construction. He is a Mechanical Engineer by training. Mr. Gaurav Hinduja, Director - Procurement, IT & Systems Mr. Gaurav Hinduja is a MTech in Petroleum Technology. His association with Jaihind in the capacity of a Director started

in the month of September, 2010. Prior to that, he has served the organization as an IT Head. He is a young dynamic individual with a lot of zeal and charisma. Under his vigorous leadership, the company envisages to reach a new zenith in times to come. Mr. Mukesh Keswani, Director - Finance & CFO Mr. Mukesh Keswani is a Post Graduate in Commerce & Masters in Business Administration. He joined Jaihind in early 2005. He has extensive experience of 18 years in Finance, of which 5 years are with Jaihind. He started as a General Manager. The charisma of Mr. Keswani induced the espousal of such financial strategies which have contributed to a striking escalation of the company. Mr. Ghanshyam Prasad, Director - Operations, HR & Administration Mr. Ghansyam Prasad is a B.Sc Honours and a member of the Certified Association of Indian Institute of Bankers and Diploma in Management by qualification. He has a vast experience of 28 years as he efficiently and effectively handles the Operations, Human Resources and Administration departments. Mr. Pradyuman Tiwari, Executive Director Mr. Pradyuman Tiwari is a B.Sc and AMIE by qualification.
