The Great Journey of HOH

Nature has an amazing way of recycling all its elements. If you notice, nature never waste even one iota of anything, it saves it entire, be it water, air, or organic fertility.If man would not have meddled with natures way, we would not have had problems of water pollution, ozone layer depletion or global warming because nature knows the way to maintain ecological balance. Water cycle is one of these processes wherein water is recycled again and again. Water cycle is the continuous movement of water of water from the surface of the earth, which are the water bodies on earth to air or vice versa. This is an unending circle of precipitation that is being formed, absorbed and being created in multiple state of matter: liquid, solid and gas. Water from bodies of water evaporates by the aid of the heat of the sun. Or the transpiration process from water on the leaves of the plants. These water turns into water vapor, which is the gaseous form of water. The vapor rises into the air. The process is called evaporation. Water vapor then rises above the hot atmosphere into the asthenosphere of the earth and it starts to cool. Due to cooling, the water vapor changes into tiny droplets of water which form the clouds above. This is the condensation stage. Tiny water droplets become bigger and bigger. As a result, the clouds bearing them become heavier, Aand when they become too heavy for the clouds to hold them anymore, water fall back in earth in the form of rain. If the atmosphere is cold enough, it may fall back as snow, hail or sleet, blizzards and fronts. After that, the rain or the melted snow become part of earths water bodies again like rivers, lakes, ponds, streams and water well. The river eventually takes the water into the oceans, which are the biggest water bodies and biggest source of water vapor. It takes approximately nine days to complete a water cycle. Nature keeps on repeating this cycle again and again. Water cycle helps in providing the right amount of water at the right time at the required places. It helps in agriculture, and some water is stored underground, so that it can be used when there is no precipitation. Water has lot of unique and amazing characteristics that make it essential to life. That is why, as an inhabitant of planet earth which greatly depends on water, should find ways to conserve and look for better ways to obtain water.
