Regulation Fecico 2012 English
1. Aim: The Festival arises as a means to make the audiovisual productions widespread and to witness to the various elements of popular culture of every people, which are born, preserved and transmitted in expressions such as music, politics, language, popular idols and the neighborhood. The Festival also arises with the conviction of finding in these elements the models of identity, and the cinema as a tool for transmission, conservation and recovery of the collective memory. 2. Organization: The Festival is organized by the Cultural Center of Father Mugica <Centro Cultural Padre Mugica > in Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina. 3. Sections: Short films and films completed after the year 2010 (not exclusive) will preferably take part in this Festival. The call is open to feature films, documentary, animation. 3. Registrartion: Deadline July 16, 2012 (date issued by Post Office) - Terms of delivery. a) Two copies of selection and display in DVD MULTI ZONE b) The registration form along with the synopsis of the film, technical form, director `s filmography, poster if any and / or two photos of the 300 dpi film should be sent also to the following mail: [email protected] c) Envelopes should be sent to: Julio Rivero o Javier Lento, Centro Cultural Padre Mugica, Hiplito Yrigoyen 7923, Banfield, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The sender must include personal data and the name of the material.
Registration and participation of films are free. The Festival disclaims responsability for paying productions` copyrights. The producer or producers and or distributors who hold the films rights should inform the Festival and send along with audiovisual materials the registration form in due time and form as the other contestants. Once the audiovisual production has been registered it can not be removed from the Festival program. All DVD copies submitted will be kept by the Archivo Audiovisual del Conurbano at the Cultural Center Father Mugica to be consulted in the same place. Furthermore, participation in the FECICO implies permission for projecting the material at the Main Festival and also for projecting it at the itinerant exhibits.
4. Transport:
In all the cases postage must be paid by the sender. The DVD copies will not be returned. It should always be indicated that the copy has no commercial value and a maximum value of u $ s 10 should be declared for customs purposes. All copies must be sent to the Festival with transport costs and taxes prepaid. Shipments made at the Festival costs will not be accepted. The organization of the Conurbano Film Festival <Festival de Cine del Conurbano> is not responsible for any damage that may occur during transportation.
6. Languages:
The selection committee consists of members that are involved in the organizing of the Festival. 8. About the order and dates: The Festival management will determine the order and dates of exhibition of each audiovisual production in accordance with availability of the exhibition halls. 9. About this regulation: Participation implies full acceptance of these rules. Once the audiovisual production has been registered it can not be removed from the Festival program.
