Student Responsibilities As a student, I understand that I am expected to: 1. Respect the Physical Environment o Keep my area and materials clean and organized. o Use classroom tools and equipment responsibly. 2. Follow Behavior Expectations o Listen and follow instructions the first time they are given. o Raise my hand to speak or move around. o Avoid any disruptive or disrespectful behavior. o Accept consequences calmly and respectfully when rules are broken. 3. Engage in Instructional Activities o Come prepared for class with materials and assignments. o Stay focused and actively participate in classwork and group tasks. o Use your time wisely and avoid distractions during lessons. 4. Maintain a Positive Social Climate o Treat classmates and the teacher with respect and kindness. o Listen without interrupting and avoid bullying or teasing. 5. Contribute to a Supportive Classroom Culture o Take responsibility for my learning and actions. o Cooperate and contribute positively in group or class activities. 6. Use Time Wisely o Be on time and ready to work when class begins. o Follow time limits and use class time productively. o Use restroom breaks responsibly—ask permission and return promptly o Stay focused and avoid wasting time during class hours. Consequences for Not Following the Rules If I break any of the classroom rules, I understand that the following steps may be taken: • 1st Offense: Verbal reminder and redirection. • 2nd Offense: Recorded warning and short conference with the teacher. • 3rd Offense: Guardian will be notified. • 4th Offense: Written referral to the Guidance Office and possible parent-teacher conference. • Serious or Repeated Offenses: May result in further disciplinary actions per school policy.
