THE UNIVERSITY OF ZIMBABWE IS OFFERING A BROAD AND COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
FROM ITS FACULTIES. ALL THE PROGRAMMES WERE DESIGNED IN LINE WITH THE HERITAGE BASED EDUCATION 5.0
PHILOSOPHY, WHICH IS ORIENTED TOWARDS NURTURING GRADUATES WITH THE CAPACITY TO INDUSTRIALISE AND
MODERNISE ZIMBABWE. APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS FOR ADMISSION INTO THE
PROGRAMMES INDICATED BELOW. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 5 ‘O’ LEVEL PASSES INCLUDING MATHS AND
ENGLISH LANGUAGE. THE OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE INDICATED AGAINST EACH PROGRAMME.

Master of Science 2 Years Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an
Food Processing honours degree from a recognised institution in any of the following:
Systems Technology Agriculture, Food Science, Biological Science, Agricultural Engineering
- MFPST and/or any approved equivalent and related experience.
Master of Science 2 Years Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an
Irrigation Systems honours degree from a recognised institution in any of the following:
Engineering - MISE Agricultural Engineering, Civil and Water Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering and/or any approved equivalent and related experience.
Master of Science 2 Years Applicants should hold at least a lower second (2.2) pass of an
Agricultural honours degree from a recognised institution in any of the following:
Equipment Design Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or any
and Manufacturing approved equivalent and related experience.

DEPARTMENT OF LIVESTOCK SCIENCES

Master of Science 2 Years Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognised
Animal Breeding Fulltime University with a minimum 2.2 Degree classification (or equivalent)
and Biotechnology in one of the following: Agriculture including approved
- MABB Animal/Livestock Science courses; Veterinary Science (Note: where
this Degree has been awarded without classification, then evidence
will be required that performance has been equivalent to a good
Honours Degree); Dairy Science and Technology; or Biological
Sciences.
Applicants should have a good Honours Degree from a recognised
Master of Science 2 Years University with a minimum 2.2 Degree classification (or equivalent)
Animal Nutrition & Fulltime in one of the following: Agriculture including approved
