MC SPEECH

Hello and welcome! Hi, my name is Leo Joel Ooi and Ill be you mc for todays events! Id like to thank all lions, Leos, ladies and gentleman for attending the Leo club of Andersons 41 anniversary! Now Id like to call upon Presiding Officer, Leo Dominic Chong to call this meeting to order.

( CALL MEETING TO ORDER)


Thank you Leo Dominic Chong. Leos and Lions kindly be upstanding to sing the National Anthem.

(NEGARAKU)
Thank you ladies and gentleman. Lions and Leos please remain upstanding to sing the lion sprite.

(LION SPIRIT)
Thank you. Lions you may now be seated. Leos please remain upstanding fto recite the Leo Pledge.

(LEO PLEDGE)
Thank you. Now well proceed with the role calls. Please be upstanding to be recognized.

(ROLL CALLS)
Before we kick off todays events, Id just like to share a little bit of info with you guys. Did you know that the Leo Club of Anderson is the OLDEST leo club in the MD308 (Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei)?. So this year, we decided to pick the theme *Where got ghost?* for our anniversary celebration. Why did we pick this theme? Ill let the guy whos been running the show tell you that. Lets give a big hand for the OC of the event, Leo Jason Lee to give his speech!

(OC SPEECH)
Thank you oc Leo Jason lee for those meaning few words! Now Id like to call upon Organizing chairperson Leo Jason Lee and Guest of honor Lion President Lion Martin to be on stage for the memento presentation.

(PRESENTATION OF MOMENTOS TO LN.MARTIN)


Thank you Ln. Martin and Leo Jason Lee Alright next is the most important part of the event, the opening ceremony. I would like to invite guest of honor Ln. Martin accompanied by presiding officer Leo Dominic Chong and organizing Chairperson Leo Jason Lee to the stage for the opening ceremony.

(OPENING CEREMONY)
Thank you Ln. Martin and Leo Jason lee. Again, Id like to call upon GOH Ln. Martin to give his speech.

(GOH SPEECH)
Thank you Ln. Martin Ok. Now that the formalities are over, Id like to ask all of you a question. Do you know that guy or girl sitting behind you? What about in front of you? No? Alright in that case lets play an ice breaker game! This game is called The missing shoe. This is how you play this game.

How to play The missing shoe game


This game will start off with the girls. As you look at the back of the hall, you can see 3 rows of empty chairs. This will be where the girls will sit for the game. But before that, please place your LEFT shoe in front of the row of chairs behind *ocs please help them*. Ok now the girls have done their part and its the guys turn. Guys, your job is to line up and when I say *start* you will have to randomly grab ONE shoe and match it with one of the girls sitting behind. Remember guys, only ONE shoe per person. Once you have matched the shoe, please run to the stage along with the girl the shoe belongs to. The first 3 couples to do this will (get something or dance ect) Does anyone have any questions on how to play the game? Alright then. 1,2,3 START!

(ICE BREAKER GAME STARTS)


Did you guys have fun? You did? Great! Ok I know you guys are tired from running around and stuff so sit back and enjoy a short performance by (whoever is performing). Give it up for (whoever is performing).

(PERFORMANCE 1)
Hmm that was..interesting haha. Next will be a video slide show presented by our organizing committee. Enjoy!

(SLIDE SHOW 1)
(As the slide show ends, someone runs on stage and whispers something to mc) Ehem may I have your attention please. *all lights in hall on* Ive just been told by a member that a couple of you guys were caught doing err *improper* things while the event was going on. When I call your names please come on stage. Our teacher advisor would like to have a word with you. *call the people up* Please face the crowd (from the back a cake is brought in). You have been caught having birthdays in September! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! On the count of 3, everyone please join me in singing happy birthday. 1,2,3 happy birthday to you blah blah blah. Sorry if we scared you guys haha. Ok you can return to your seats. Im guessing you guys are pretty hungry right? No? Actually Im the one whos hungry SHHHH dont tell anyone haha. Anyway lets have a break for lunch. The food is already ready at the back of the hall. Please line up when you take you food thank you.

(BREAK FOR LUNCH)


While you guys enjoy your food, please enjoy a performance by *whoever* followed by a video presentation.

We are almost at the end of our event but before we finish we would like to present a few souvenirs to our guests. Please send one representative when your clubs name is called*refer to attendance list*.

Now I would like to call upon our guest of honor Ln. Martin to call this meeting to order. Before that, I would like to thank you for attending and hope all of you have enjoyed our event. Also on behalf of the organizing committee I apologize for any mistakes we might have made throughout the event.
