whatever favor she asked for. So Semele asked for Zeus to reveal his true godly form to him, and
Zeus, who was forced to obey her due to the oath, did as she said. As soon as Zeus revealed his true,

Red Zoo
When people hear the word Zoo many different thoughts and opinions come to mind, but the levels
of positivity and negativity vary from person to person. A common grievance is that zoos are jails to
animals and their conditions are similar to circuses. Due to traveling and poor living conditions.
Animals of the entertainment business are treated with much less respect than in a zoo. Others tend
to think of the cute, fuzzy, and even funny animals living in well designed habitats. No matter the
opinion one approaches this article with, the knowledge of how a zoo actually works is often
lacking. Few actually know that these animals are in the best place for them, and often feel just as
at home. A great example is The Denver Zoo s own Red Panda

Pablo Picasso And George Braque
1. Pablo Picasso and George Braque founded cubism in the early 20th century in Paris. It was an
artwork to be considered as the first radical approach in expressing visual reality. According to
Cubist, any perception of an object was a composite of simultaneous and different perspectives.
Cubism tries to help one understand the world around them in a different way by changing their
perspective on a certain subject. It is an approach of art where a painter takes a real life object and
changes it in a completely different way to the way he or she views it in there mind and how they
perceive it. Cubismused geometric shapes to replace traditional forms. An example of this type of
art form is Picasso s 1907 painting, Les Demoiselles... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of the most famous Surrealists was the Spaniard Salvadore Dali, who subverted the sense of
reality in his painting by using near photographic detail in presenting a fantastic and irrational
world. One of his most famous artworks was the persistence of memory . It represented that time
was fluid. What motivated him to draw this picture was the Brie cheese that was melting in front of
him while he was having a picnic.

2. Technological achievements created a second stage of the Industrial Revolution that transformed
the human environment and led people to believe that their material progress would improve world
conditions and solve all human problems. The invention of electricity was a major new form of
energy that proved to be of great value since it could be easily converted into other forms of energy,
such as heat, light, and motion, and moved relatively effortlessly through space by means of
transmitting wires. In 1910, hydroelectric power stations and coal fired steam generating plants
enabled entire districts to be tied into s ingle power distribution system that provided a common
source of power for homes, shops, and industrial enterprises. Electricity procreated a whole series of
innovative products such as the incandescent filament lamp. This opened homes and cities to
illumination by electric
Micrometers
The five isolated nuclei measured had lengths of 2.5µm, 5µm, 3µm, 5µm, and 4µm, and therefore
an average length of 3.9 micrometers. This data reflects an almost accurate measurement because
according to Essential Cell Biology eukaryotic nuclei have an average length of about 5
micrometers (p.16). The total number of nuclei isolated was 3,125,000. This number was calculated
by multiplying the amount of nuclei found per mL by five because 5mL was the size of the sample
taken. The amount of nuclei per mL was found by multiplying the average number of nuclei found
on the hemocytometer by the dilution factor and the volume of the hemocytometer grid. These
values respectively are 6.25, 10, and 104, yielding 625,000 nuclei per milliliter. The dilution... Show

8.62 x 10 6pg of nucleic acid were detected per nucleus in this sample, which is a small amount in
comparison to the 1.8 pg found in the 1976 experiment. The spectrophotometer does not accurately
estimate the amount of DNA per nucleus because it does not differentiate between chromatin,
DNA, and RNA in its measurements. The reading therefore does not provide a true answer for the
pure contents of DNA within a cell. Reasons why this experimental findings of DNA per nucleus
differs from Bennett s could be because of human error. Since the pellet of nucleic acids was
especially miniscule during the latter steps of the experiment, it is possible part of the pellet could
have been accidentally poured out with the supernatant. The buffers and other chemicals used in
Bennett s experiment were also unknown by the scientist; therefore it is possible Bennett used
different chemicals which were not as degrading to the DNA as the ones provided in this
laboratory. Overall, the low yield of DNA per nucleus in this experiment compared to the DNA per
nucleus determined by Bennett s procedure could be because of a lack of precision and accuracy in
the use and transference of
Disadvantage Of Iron Mosque
The Iron mosque is known to be so due to its stainless steel clad structure. It s a very modern building
located in the administrative capital, Putrajaya. Nevertheless, it still manages to integrate traditional
culture and religious cues into its design. These, together with its scale, location on the Putrajaya
lakefront and sight lines, make it quite a spectacular building.

The Iron Mosque has a district cooling system, and fans or an air conditioning system. It uses 6000
tons of iron and 70 percent steels with 30 percent remaining of concretes. Concrete material is used
to build a parking space and walkway adjacent to the mosque.

Advantages of steel
Steel beam is given a mass that is capable of resisting much higher stresses without fracture than an
equivalent mass of wood or stone. It is very strong in terms of strength and is resistant to corrosion.
Stainless steel can be manufactured such way to be extremely resistant to rust and corrosion.
Stainless steel is a mix of steel and chromium. Thus, it has a much longer life expectancy.
Cost
Steel costs very little compared with other metals. This, combined with its other mechanical and
chemical attributes, contributes significantly to the popularity of steel beams as a construction
material.
3. THE WALL
A wall is a structure that defines an area, carries a load, or provides shelter or security.
There are many kinds of walls such as defensive walls in fortification, walls of buildings which are a
fundamental part of the superstructure or which separate the spaces in buildings sections.
Building walls purposes are to support roofs, floors and ceilings, enclose a space as part of the
building envelope, along with a roof to give buildings form, and to provide shelter and security.

Changing Face Of Stroke
Changing Face of Stroke: Implications for Occupational Therapy Practice Stroke is the number
one leading cause of adult disability, and it is estimated that approximately 7 million Americans
are living with the effects of stroke. The direct and indirect cost of stroke in the United States was
approximately $53.6 billion, with a mean lifetime cost estimated at $140,048 (American Heart
Association, 2004) and each year, approximately 795,000 people have either a new or recurrent
stroke (Go et al., 2013). The profession of occupational therapy was founded on the principles of
occupation and participation, and these principles have now become central concepts in the
definition of health (Baum, 2003). Much of the research and clinical work in occupational therapy
is based at an activity level that allows people to manage themselves and engage in work, leisure and
fitness activities.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Civil Rights Movement And The American Civil Movement
The Civil Rights Movement, also known as the American Civil Rights Movement and other names,
is a term that encompasses the strategies, groups, and social movements in the United States whose
goals were to end racial segregation and discrimination against African Americans and to secure legal
recognition and federal protection of the citizenship rights enumerated in the Constitution and
federal law. The movement was characterized by major campaigns of civil resistance. Between 1955
and 1968, acts of nonviolent protest and civil disobedience produced crisis situations and productive
dialogues between activists and government authorities. The movement was led by social activists

The Civil Rights Act of 1964, which ended segregation in public places and banned employment
discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin, is considered one of the
crowning legislative achievements of the civil rights movement. First it was proposed by
President John F. Kennedy, it survived strong opposition from southern members of Congress
and was then signed into law by Kennedy s successor, Lyndon B. Johnson. In the following years,
Congress expanded the act and also passed additional legislation aimed at bringing equality to
African Americans, such as the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Martin Luther king jr is was Baptist
minister and social activist who led the civil rights movement in the United States from the mid
1950s until his death by assassination in 1968. He was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta,

Mesopotamia Compare And Contrast
Mesopotamia is an ancient civilization from 3200 b.c to 536 b.c. It means The land between the
rivers. Mesopotamia was formed between Tigris and Euphrates rivers. It was apart of the Fertile
Crescent. The Fertile Crescent is a fertile arc of land from the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
Mesopotamia had river valley civilizations within it including Sumer, Akkad, Babylon, Hittite,
Assyria, Israel, and New Babylon. Sumer was the first civilization (3200 b.c. 1900 b.c.) which
located in southeastern Mesopotamia. Every city state had hierarchy. Hierarchy is a system of
ranking groups. The king was responsible for taking care of the city walls and irrigation systems. It
also included Hereditary Rule, which is the power passes from the father to the son. They also
collected taxes, enforced laws, and kept records. Theocracy is the blend of government and religion.

Experiential Learning Reflection
Introduction
In today s competitive world, people are expected to be highly effective and efficient. They need
specific skills and knowledge for their education or work purposes. This has enforced various skill
enhancement programs proposed by fraternity all over the world.
Experiential learning and reflective practice is a compelling approach for self improvement by
regular self audit. The following report is an academic character with various definitions, analysis
and critique of reflective learning structure. It shall then emphasize on my career, experiences, and
analysis which will help in developing my overall personality. It shall focus on analysis of skills in
effective managers and leaders.
The evaluation from four diagnostic tools shall help in understanding my strengths and weaknesses
and development areas. Action plan concludes the whole trial in which my analysis and approach is
highlighted in relation to need for self improvement.

Experiential Learning and Reflective Practice

Do we always learn from experiences?
The answer is NO. Nothing will become real unless experienced said John Keats (as cited in Beard
and Wilson, 2013, p. 28). We cannot learn from experiences until reflecting over it. To understand
reflecting over experiences, it is important to understand experiential learning first.
Learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience said
David A. Kolb (1984, p.38).
The ability to learn is a talent
A Best Friend For Ten Years Of Life
Most people are lucky enough to have a best friend. For boys, there may be more than one, and for
girls there may only be one. For me, I ve had three great friends in my twenty years and multiple
acquaintances that were more of a lesson than a blessing. Out of those three friends, there has only
been one that has been consistent. Whether we re fighting or not, Savannah has been my best friend
for ten years now.
It all started back in fifth grade. I was a new to the girl world. My first ten years of life were filled
with tomboy activities and being the only girl at the birthday parties. Fifth grade changed
everything for me. The boys were more interested in the girls and I was being left out more on the
playground. It was softball that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tension built between us and I soon found myself growing closer to someone else in the tenth
grade. One of the three I mention in the beginning. Her name is Danielle. She was also a part of a
duo, but her partner was her twin named Hannah. The three of us became close, but Danielle and I
more than Hannah. Her humor was like nothing I had encountered before and she kept me laughing
most the time. At the end of tenth grade, Hannah and Danielle found out they were going to have
to move to Florence and we were all heartbroken. Everyone loved the twins, they brought a light to
that dreary time of high school. They joy and humor were contagious and when they moved there
was an obvious hole left. During this time Savannah was still heavily involved with her new friends,
but clearly jealous of my new friendship as well.

The real heartache didn t happen until that summer. Although Florence was not too far away, it
was still hard to keep a friendship going while living two completely different lives. That summer,
Hannah and Danielle were suddenly moved to Kansas City. I remember crying my eyes out as
Danielle text me the news that they were on their way to a different state. I m not going to lie; it
broke me in a way
I had never experienced before. The news of the twins move spread quickly on social media. The
next day I had softball practice. I remember walking into the dugout and everything going silent. My
teammates knew of my connection to the
Lab Report On Catalase
Catalase lab background
The question being answered by these experiments is: How do different conditions affect the
productivity of enzymes? Enzymes are produced by cells and they act as catalysts, which means
they are organic molecules that speed up chemical reactions. How effectively they work depends on
the conditions they are in, such as level of temperature, pH level, substrate concentration, and salt
concentration. In these experiments, Catalase will be placed in different conditions with hydrogen
peroxide. How active the enzyme is in these different conditions will be measured by the amount of
oxygen gas being produced. A very high increase in oxygen will indicate a high reaction rate and a
low production of oxygen will show that there is a low reaction rate. On the other hand, if there is
no change in the level of oxygen, it will indicate that the Catalase is denatured and is no longer
functioning.
In temperature, when it increases, it is expected that the activity of Catalase will also increase up
to a certain temperature. After a certain degree, it is expected that the activity of Catalase will slow
down and eventually come to stop. Similarly, it is expected that more concentration of substrates
will lead to higher activity of Catalase up to a certain concentration level. Past that certain level, the
productivity of the enzyme will stop. On the other hand, for pH and salt concentration level, it is
expected that too low or too high in either variable will lead to
