Disadvantages Of Intelligence Led Policing
In preparation for my debate on the topics of intelligence led policing and Compstat policing, I
have discovered the many advantages and disadvantages of using intelligence led policing and
Compstat policing. According to Carter Carter (2009), intelligence led policing is the collection of
and analysis of data relating to crime, used by law enforcementin developing tactical responses to
threats and/or strategic planning related to emerging changing threats (p. 317). When applied
correctly, intelligence led policing is a tool used for information sharing in identifying threats and
developing responses to prevent those threats from reaching fruition (Carter, 2011). One of the
advantages of using intelligence led policing is its incorporation of data analysts. The role of the
data analyst in the context of intelligence led policing allows them to take specially trained analysts
to take raw data from information found in reports and translate it into useful information for the
officers, allowing the policeto deploy resources more effectively and efficiently (Griffiths, 2016).
Another advantage is its application through preventative and predictive policing (proactive
policing), in which law enforcement take data and identify crucial variables such as terrorism or the
emergence of criminal organizations, in hopes of stopping the problem at its roots (Carter, 2011).
Terrorism is especially important and emphasized after the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade

WW1 Airplanes
The first flight occurred in 1903 when the Wright brothers famously took their airplane for a final
test flight in December. In the years after this historic flight many people start to see the potential for
airplanes in war, transportation, and shipping. Other builders disregarded previous doubt about
flying and began to replicate the ideas of the Wright brothers in creating planes with three axes. In
addition, the approach of WWI prompted military personnel to pursue uses of airplanes as a war
machine. The airplane influenced many aspects of American culture after it s invention including
civilian life, war technology, and individual possibility. Airplanes were mainly used for transporting
mail and cargo after their initial invention... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She was the 16th woman to be given a pilot s license and the first to fly across the Atlantic ocean.
Because her family moved a lot looking for work she became independent and did not rely on her
parents to provide for her. When she went to visit her sister in Canada she saw wounded soldiers
returning from war. This prompted her to volunteer with the Red Cross where she met many
injured pilots. This, coupled with the sight of the Royal Flying Corps practicing, gave her a
strong admiration for aviation. In 1920 she went for her first plane ride at an airshow and from
then on she devoted herself to learning how to fly. She took spare jobs and got enough money to
go through aviation training. In 1921 she purchased a used airplane for herself and a year later flew
it to 14,000 feet, a new world record for female pilots. She had to sell her plane a few years later to
provide for her parents and it wasn t until 1927 that she got back into flying. In 1928 she was
asked by a fellow pilot to fly across the Atlantic and she immediately said yes. She went with two
other pilots and didn t fly at all due to the weather. Still, she was seen as a celebrity be many. In
1931 she set a new altitude world record at 18,415 feet. She was also involved in a women s
aviation group called the Ninety Nines who aimed to advance women in aviation. On May 20th of
1932 she took off to fly across the Atlantic alone. After about 15 hours
Review of A Wrinkle In Time Essay

2. Recommendation of the book A Wrinkle in Time is a thought provoking novel that keeps
readers alert until the very end. L Engle starts the story off with a friendly and welcoming mood
by slowly informing the reader about the characters, the setting, and the problem. Then, she
progresses through the plot at a thrilling pace, presenting multiple challenges to the characters. L
Engle tells the story in a clear and concise way so that readers can understand exactly what is
going on in the story. Also, I feel that A Wrinkle in Time was an allegory that had a strong and
recurring theme true love can conquer evil. Students in high school can read this novel to search for
its figurative meaning while younger students can treat this novel as an exciting fantasy. Overall,
this novel is approachable to a wide variety of audiences, and I would highly recommend A Wrinkle
in Time.

Choosing Between Graduate School and the Peace Corps Essay
The Peace Corps is an organization of people who are America s international helpers. This is a
federal government program that was designed to bring about peace and hospitality to developing
countries. This organization has a virtuous history of people of all race backgrounds and genders
who come together to help others. The volunteers have no obligation toward the people of the
world but they serve by their own intent as Americans and individuals. Volunteers who finish their
service are of great character because they offer their own time to help those in need. They are the
people with hearts and minds that are ready to give their energy to endure what situations that may
rise in their service. However a person going into graduate school... Show more content on

The lowest paid salary group was in education, history, and psychology (493). As a psychology
major working toward my bachelor degree this is not a shock but a frequent reminder as I continued
my research. However, if an individual is determined to withstand all odds of the graduate school
from the application process to attending the school itself that individual will have a more
effective chance at the working world. Depending on where an individual goes and other factors
graduate school can be the most enhancing experience or the most dreadful one. In my opinion, the
main point of graduate school is to obtain a higher degree in a particular field of study by
individuals using themselves, others and consistent time and energy to their education. The students
that go to graduate will be tested on what they believe and what they perceive as the truth. Students
will be educated on their specific field and go through rigorous evaluation on what they learn about
it and how they apply it to the real world. Campbell graduate student Elizabeth Reavis states, while
in grad school you are gaining acceptance of different things through knowledge . What I obtain
from her statement was an individual goes through a self transformation during their years of
learning and practicing for that acceptance of others ideas and methods. Graduate school is a vast
decision past undergraduate study. Graduate school is one of the few places in
Discourse Features Of Mental Health
Introduction
Discourse features of mental health community have been studied by many scholars. As Morrow
(2006) described, there are numerous studies of doctor/patient interaction and of the interaction
between other health care professionals and their clients. The research of online community that has
gained increased attention by public media and health experts (Wolf et al, 2013) appeared, and there
was also critical discourse analysis on the pro anorexia movement (Knapton, 2013). From these
researches, I am able to see that discourse features tend to be different due to different participates,
for example, people who are suffering from eating disorder and those who recovered from it tend to
use different words and different punctuation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Kino And Juana Alternate Ending
Kino and Juana headed towards the forest as the soundless night grew and they knew that some
evil person would follow and eventually kill them. Coyotito was still sound asleep and Juana
hung him around her hip as she walked with Kino. Suddenly, Kino came to a stop and warned
Juana that he heard footsteps and he knew that someone was following them. They heard the click
of the carbine and figured that they had to hide before the devil fired. They ran until they were
sure that no one was there but they didn t know that everyone wanted the pearl and they would do
anything for it. That night, as Kino and Juana found a place to stay, they were followed by several
strangers, some avarice people who belonged from La Pazand other indigent people who heard
about the pearl. Juana who was now really tired wanted her family to be warm so she went outside
the cave to gather wood. Before she left, Kino warned her to be judicious... Show more content on

With all the anger, he ignored Coyotito, but he tried his best for his baby to realized that his
mother was still there. Kino traveled really fast without stopping until he came to the end of a
steep cliff. He decided to take a break and look at the beautiful scenery of the estuary of two river
that were miles away from their brush houses. He remembered how Juana would always walk to
the river to get fresh water for her family and she would never complain about the hard work she
did to keep the family running. He felt so guilty for letting Juana go into the dangerous world alone,
where everyone hated them. Kino thought about the time when he hurt Juana when she tried to
throw the pearl in the water. Eventually, Kino began to see how the pearl had precipitated to all the
greed he had for getting the money. He tried to forget all the dreams he had for the future but now
his only goal was to get Juana
The Contamination Of The Marine Environment
Unless an accident or in case of nuclear war, man is relatively protected from direct radioactive
contamination, ie caused by breathing air contaminated by radioactive bodies. Actually, the current
main danger comes from the high degree of biological concentration of radioactive along the food
chain substances. Thus an indirect radioactive contaminationthat begins with the warehouse in soil
and water of radioactive pollutants from the atmosphere fallen occurs. In animals and plants that
draw their nourishment from the soil and water bodies such focus, transmitting them to their
predators dangerous proportions. In the marine environment it is clearly seen this phenomenon.
Algae often come to have a radioactivity specifies thousand times higher than the surrounding water,
and plankton concentration factor that can become of 5000. aquatic animals that feed on such
organisms can reach concentrations even more high. Radioactivity in plants focuses on the leaves
and stems more than seeds. It is a factor that hurts herbivores. In the final link in the food chain, man,
cross contamination occurs via the digestive tract after taking contaminated food or food plant. Milk,
for example, is one of the main vehicles for cross contamination in some countries. This explains
why the bones of children, which constitutes the main food milk containing strontium 90 more than
those of adults.

It has been estimated that the world population is exposed to natural radiation environment comprised

The Myth Of Gender Roles
The myth of gender roles plays a pivotal role in This Boy s Life A Memoir by Tobias Wolff.
Specifically, the myth of masculinity shapes much of the actions and experiences that occur. Toxic
masculinity is commonly described as socially constructed attitudes that describe men as being
violent, unemotional, and sexually aggressive. The rules of masculinity that are implied in the
memoir include displays of physical dominance such as fighting against others, use of weapons for
power and control, domestic violence, and trying to win at everything. Sexual virility is discussed
as bragging about sexual conquests and talking crudely about women around other men but
generally trying to be hyper sexual. Another, key aspect of masculinity is to not show any emotion
as others will perceive you as being weak which leads characters being unable to express how they
feel about themselves and their conflicts. Males are taught to not get mad but to get even; this means
retaliating by stealing or other means in order to get revenge. Within the memoir, Tobias perception
of masculinity and his idea of what manshould look and act like is demonstrated through Roy.
Qualities that include being: an expert hunter, conventionally handsome, [a mechanic or handy in
general], does not need to talk more than needed, having a tattoo (14). The myth of masculinity
pigeonholes males from This Boy s Life A Memoir by Tobias Wolffby making them believe that they
must act in a certain way in order to be
