Upgrading to Control Center suite 19.7 from 19.6

In order to upgrade a Control Center 19.6 system to Control Center 19.7, the products should be
upgraded in the following order:
1. License Server
2. Site Database Server
3. NVR-AS
4. Control Center front-end application

For more information on upgrading a Control Center system, refer to the Control Center Installation
Guide.

License Server Compatibility

License Server 19.7 is not compatible with Control Center 15.1 or earlier, NVR-AS 15.1 or earlier, or
FrontLine Manager 6.1.5 or earlier. Once the License Server has been upgraded to 19.7, all incompatible
licensed products will use their backup license, and must be upgraded to a compatible version before it
expires. A backup license is valid for 30 days from the last successful connection to a compatible
License Server.
While using a backup license, Control Center workstations will continue to operate normally. Once
upgraded to 19.7 they will automatically revert to the license on the License Server. If a workstation is
not upgraded before its backup expires it will become unlicensed, and Control Center will exit and not
restart until upgraded to 19.7.

appliances. If this feature has been enabled in the BIOS then it must be disabled before installing
NVR-AS 4000 Firmware 19.7. To do this follow the instructions below, this will require local access to
the device.
1. Ensure the keyboard, mouse and monitor are attached to the Enterprise NVR-AS 4000 G3 1U
and reboot the unit. Wait for the keyboard shortcuts to be displayed at the top of the screen.

2. When the keyboard shortcuts appear, press F2 to enter System Setup.

3. Select System BIOS.

4. Select System Security.

5. Change the state of Secure Boot to Disabled.

6. Click Back.

7. Click Finish. A warning popup will be displayed asking if changed settings should be saved.
Click Yes. Another popup will be displayed when the settings have been saved successfully.
Click OK.

8. Click Finish. A warning popup will be displayed asking if you want to exit and reboot. Click OK.

9. The unit will reboot with Secure Boot disabled.

Once Secure Boot is disabled the NVR-AS 4000 can be updated to use the 19.7 firmware.

TLS 1.1 Deprecation on Enterprise NVR-AS 4000

Starting with NVR-AS 4000 Firmware 19.0, applying a firmware upgrade to an Enterprise NVR-AS 4000
will attempt to automatically disable TLS 1.1 for the Server Administrator (OMSA) and iDRAC web
interfaces and the iDRAC virtual console, leaving TLS 1.2 as the only enabled version. If there is a
specific need to keep TLS 1.1 support then it must be manually re-enabled once the upgrade is
complete, please see the User Guide for details of how to access iDRAC and OMSA.

Note that fully disabling TLS 1.1 for iDRAC is only possible on the Enterprise NVR-AS 4000 G3 1U or G3
2U models which have been upgraded to iDRAC9 version 4.40.00.00 or later. Be aware that the firmware
upgrade will attempt to forcibly set the iDRAC virtual console to use the HTML5 interface as this is the
only plugin type which permits TLS 1.1 to be disabled. If the virtual console was previously configured
to use the Java or ActiveX plugin then this must be manually changed back once the upgrade is
complete. Please also note that the presence of the virtual console feature depends on the installed
iDRAC license.

If an earlier version of iDRAC9 is installed on the G3 models or if a G1 or G2 model is being upgraded

then it is only possible to disable TLS 1.1 for some parts of iDRAC. All operations are logged to the
system journal to allow review for any failures once the upgrade is complete. Please note that any
failed steps will not be retried on subsequent upgrades to any later version of the NVR-AS 4000
Firmware.

TLS1.1 is disabled by default on the Enterprise NVR-AS 4000 G4 1U.
