4) Why has the storming of the Bastille become the best-known event of the
French Revolution? Describe the outcome of this event, in both real and
symbolic terms.

5) What was the ‘flight to Varennes’ and why did it change the political
landscape in the new French society.

6) Describe the legacy of the French Revolution in the long term and short
term scope. List at least 5 effects and explain them.

7) Identify and discuss 4 events or factors that you believe are the most
significant causes of the Reign of Terror.

8) Identify and discuss 4 reasons for the arrest-trial-execution of Louis XVI and
his Queen. Explain the executions as well.

2) Study the cartoon. Answer the questions which follow giving evidence and
explaining in detail. Write at least a side of a page for the whole topic.
