4. Union Home Minister Amitshah to inaugurate and lay the foundation of various
developmental projects of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation worth over
1,500 crore in Ahmedabad

7. Bihar floor test: Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led government will face a
vote of trust today in state assembly on first day of the Budget Session of the
state legislature. The floor test of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)
government is scheduled for Monday. Six MLAs had earlier skipped the
luncheon meeting at the house of minister Shravan Kumar on Saturday. The
NDA has 128 MLAs in the Bihar Assembly against 115 of the Grand Alliance. To
achieve the majority mark, an alliance needs 122 MLAs.
9. Fit India Movement broke the mold by appointing Narendra Kumar Yadav, an
IRS officer, as its new brand ambassador. Recently the Union Cabinet approved
the “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Kisan Samridhi Sah-Yojana (PM-MKSSY)”, a Central
Sector Sub-scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada aimed at
formalizing the fisheries sector and supporting fisheries micro and small
enterprises. Over Rs. 6,000 crores over a period of next four (4) years from FY
2023-24 to FY 2026-27 in all States/Union Territories.

12. Union Cabinet recently approved the spectrum auction for 2024, which is
expected to garner Rs 96,317 crore for the exchequer. The auction will include
various spectrum bands like 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and
2300 MHz that can be used by telecom operators to provide 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G
services.

18. Six NLFT extremists surrender in Tripura, depositing arms and ammunition
including Chinese rifles. The group had been active in Bangladesh and joined
the NLFT outfit between 2017 and 2022. So far, 36 active NLFT members have
surrendered to Tripura Police and security forces.
19. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has announced that anyone who shared
information related to "anti-national activities" in the Union Territory will be
given a cash reward between 1 lakh to 5 lakh.

22. India welcomed the release of eight Indian nationals who were arrested in
Qatar on August 30, 2022 and were given death sentence last October. In an
early morning statement, the Ministry of External Affairs indicated that seven
of the men have already returned.
23. Indian Army has taken a significant step in the procurement process by giving
the green light for the purchase of a 155 mm X 52 Cal Towed Gun System (TGS)
and accompanying Gun Towing Vehicles under its Field Artillery Rationalisation
Program (FARP) on Saturday. The procurement is according to the Army’s
released Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) under the Buy Indian-Designed.
24. On 10 Feb, Lt Gen Manjit Kumar, Chief of Staff of the Southern Command,
inaugurated the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (CEAR)
at the Army Institute of Technology (AIT) in Pune. This state-of-the-art facility is
equipped with advanced tools for 3D printing, CAD modelling, sensors, and
real-time embedded hardware designing
25. Families of Agniveers dying in the line of duty should get the same benefits that
are extended to next of kin of regular military personnel, a parliamentary panel
has recommended. Under the existing provisions, families of Agniveers making
supreme sacrifices are not eligible for regular benefits like pension.
26. Indian Army organised a week long Wushu Championship from 04 February to
10 February 2024 in Toronglaobi village of Bishnupur District, Manipur in
coordination with the Wushu Association of Manipur.
27. President Smt. Droupadi Murmu witnessed the Ceremonial change-over of the
Army Guard Battalion stationed at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The 6th Battalion of the
Sikh Regiment on completion of its tenure as Ceremonial Army Guard Battalion
handed over the charge to the 1st Battalion of 5th Gorkha Rifles.
29. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $200 million loan to
enhance flood and riverbank erosion risk management along the Brahmaputra
River in Assam, India. This project aims to build on previous successful
initiatives and address the persistent challenges of flooding and erosion in the
region.

31. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday said he is confident that the
relevance of the Quad grouping would grow and it would become a bigger

Jaishankar's remarks came during a fireside chat with his Australian
