The Indian Institute of Information Technology Senapati, Manipur is an institute of national
importance established by an act of parliament in 2015 under the Ministry of Education, Government of
India in order to develop Manipur as preferred destination for Information Technology (IT) related
manpower and industry. This shall enable Manipur to gear up for providing IT related services as
well as high-quality Research & Development in IT. IIITM offers B.Tech in Computer Science and
Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and PhD in CSE, ECE and
Humanities and Basic Sciences from its city campus located at Mantripukhri, Imphal. The campus
has adequate classrooms, laboratories for CSE and ECE, conference hall, playground, hostels, faculty
quarters, guest house and own administrative offices. The excellent student-faculty ratio enables
360-degree technical supervision and personal development of each student. IIITM is one of the
21 IIITs set up by the Government of India in PPP mode. IIITM strives to be attentive to not only
academic needs of every student but also to their entrepreneurial ideas.

VISION
To contribute to India and the World through excellence in Information Technology in general; to
build leaders and entrepreneurs through transformative and innovative education in the context of
socio-economic relevance to the North East of India in particular; to serve as a valuable resource
for industry and society; and remain a source of pride for all Indians. Manipur, being projected as
a gateway to South East Asia under the Act East Policy of the Government of India, IIIT Senapati,
Manipur, will be looking for opportunities to spread IT education and to contribute to human
resource development in its neighboring countries. IIIT Senapati, Manipur, has a vision of
establishing itself as an Institution of excellence in Cyber Security, Cyber Crime and Forensics so that
human resource from IIIT Senapati, Manipur will be prepared to face this growing global threat. It
also envisages itself for achieving excellence in application of robotics facilitating human life to
overcome congenital as well as acquired disabilities.

MISSION
IIIT Senapati, Manipur, undertakes the mission to provide technical education by offering state-
of-the-art undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs with international standards
of excellence. Emphasizing research, the institute collaborates on projects that offer
opportunities for long-term interaction with academia and the Information Technology (IT)
industry, as well as development of technology in areas of national importance.

Welcome to the Indian Institute of Information Technology Senapati, Manipur. Indian Institute of
Information Technology Senapati, Manipur is an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of
Education in PPP-mode and was established in 2015 with two disciplines, Computer Science and
Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The institute has previously graduated
four batches, and the fifth batch is prepared for placement. The institute's alumni have received
laurels and appreciations from the industry, and graduates who choose higher education over jobs have
also been accepted into esteemed universities in India and abroad.
The institute fosters its students' technical, intellectual, and personal growth in order to fulfil the current
demands of industries, including service/product sectors and core industries. In order to better
understand the needs and requirements of the organization, students are really permitted to participate
in the internship for the complete 8th semester. The institute is always working to enhance the learning
and analytical abilities of the students from different backgrounds, educating them to comprehend
to (re)innovate/(re)learn, and preparing them to find solutions for diverse difficulties relating to self and
society from nature.
I've been observing how the students have been applying creative thinking and lateral thinking to the
disruptive technologies needed for many present and future advancements. Students are well-versed
in and exposed to the most recent technologies, including AI, ML, data analytics, blockchain, IoT,
embedded systems, and VLSI design, regardless of their course of study.
The institute also features state-of-the-art facilities, including digital classrooms and labs with the
newest hardware and software. Each student can receive 360-degree technical supervision and personal
growth thanks to the good student-faculty ratio. I wish all students to be ready and prepared for the
challenges of facing reality, solving problems effectively, and finding success in all of their future
endeavors. Last but not the least, I extend an invitation to organizations to come to IIIT Senapati,

The institution offers a range of clubs, including GDSC (Google Developer Student Club)
a n d EBSB (Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat). GDSC, in affiliation with Google, concentrates on

1st Institute Day

IIITSM c o m m e m o r a t e d a significant milestone in the history of IIIT Manipur with the very first
Institute Day celebration. This special occasion, held on 21st April 2023, was a remarkable
gathering that brought together students, faculty, staff, a n d distinguished guests to celebrate
the collective achievements a n d inspire a future of excellence. The event featured a series of
inspiring speeches, acknowledging the contributions of the esteemed faculty members, the
c o m m i t m e n t of the staff, a n d the achievements of the students.
 AHOUBA 2024
IIIT Manipur's technical festival, AHOUBA 2024, showcases student innovation through competitions such
as a Coding Contest, Circuit Debugger, E-Sports, "Scrap with Purpose" challenge, Hackathon, Line Follower
robot competition, and RoboWars. These events provide a platform for students to demonstrate technical
skills, creativity, and teamwork, offering practical experience in real-world scenarios. The closing function on
April 12th, 2024, featured Mrs. L Sarita Devi, boxer and Arjun Awardee, as the Chief Guest, with Prof.
Krishnan Baskar, Director of IIITM, presiding over the event.

IIIT Senapati Manipur understands the significance of physical well-being a n d the
importance of sports in overall personality development. The Sports Board offers a wide

 INTER IIIT 2024: Allahabad
A contingent of 65 talented students from IIIT Manipur proudly represented the institute at the Inter IIIT
Sports Meet held at IIIT Allahabad. Their participation showcased the institute's commitment to

A spirited contingent of 30 students from IIIT Manipur embarked on an exciting journey to
participate in SPIRIT 2022, the annual sports fest of IIT Guwahati. This highly anticipated event

The institute was approved to be established at Mayangkhang Ningthoupham village,
Senapati district with its temporary c a m p u s at Mantripukhri, Imphal by the Manipur State
Cabinet a n d the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
A Total of 150 Acres of land was acquired by the State Government in Mayangkhang,
Ningthoupham village, Senapati district of Manipur which is under construction with a
budg et of around 125 crores a n d college is expected to shift to its permanent c a m p u s by
the year 2024.
