Frequency Hoping:
Frequency hopping system with Tc=1µs and Ts=3µs using 4-FSK modulation. Chip code = [001, 111] and
message code =[01,11,00,11,00,01]. Mention whether this system uses fast or slow frequency
hopping.

Direct Sequence:
a) With the help of suitable figures, explain Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum transmitter &
receiver in details. Then state applications of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum.
b) A Gold Encoder with three shift register. Find the length of the Gold code and the possible
number of the codes.

Draw the block diagrams of OFDMA transmitter and receiver, discuss briefly each block and discuss its
advantages and disadvantages as well as applications. Show how cyclic prefix can solve some of
the important drawbacks of OFDMA system.
