Projects
Polaris, Capacity Inventory Management 05/2022 – 06/2023
Worked as a Data Engineer for Johnson and Johson's Polaris project, a

capacity inventory management system that spans multiple production

centers and warehouses. The project involved forecasting demand and
visualizing it on Tableau dashboards.
My role involved creating relational finished tables for the Polaris application.

This involved extracting raw data from various sources such as Excel files,
Enterprises level Data Layer (EDL), and Data Lake.
For EDL data extraction, we utilized Azure Data Factory for simple

transformations and data flows, creating a pipeline to store EDL data in Azure
Data Lake Storage (ADLS). Raw data from the Data Lake was accessed through
an Azure Active Directory connection, while Excel file data was uploaded to an
SQL database and further transformed using Databricks.
Azure Databricks played a crucial role in performing complex transformations.

Once the data was transformed, we loaded it into SQL tables. To ensure fast
performance for specific product visualizations, we added code for cleansing
and manipulation within the app's JDBC-connected SQL tables.
Our development process followed Agile methodologies, with 15-day scrum

sprints, integration testing, and deployments managed through a Continuous

Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tool called Jenkins. The CI/CD
pipeline was connected to our Git repository, and artifacts were accessed
through JFrog Artifactory. We added the Sonar Cube tool for static analysis to
enhance testing and performance. further visualization will be done by the
Data Science team's simulation models.
