SETTING UP YOUR CONTROL PANEL.:

provided with a form. In that form, you will choice a
user name and a password.

HOW TO INSTALL A WORDPRESS WEBSITE.

Go to your web browser and type

bring up something like the fig below.

Fill in the username and pass word you used during your
site hosting. After filling in the information, click on
LOGIN.

Now Locate and click on softaculous. When you click on it,

you will have a page that look like the fig below.
Locate and click on blogs as shown with the red circle
above. When you click on it, you will have a page that will
look like the fig below
Locate and click on wordpress as shown with the red circle
above. It will take you to a page like the fig below.
Now fill in the forms using below example as your guide.

Choose protocol http://

Choose domain yoursitename.com
In directory leave this column blank
Database name wp336 or any other number
that come with it.
Table prefix wp_
Site name the name of your site.
Description explain what your site is all
About
Admin username your user name or your name
Admin password. Write your password.
Admin email writes your email address.
Choose language select English

After filling the form, then click on install and wait for it to
load.

Now visit your site at your web browser to see how it looks
like.

Log into your DASHBORD by visiting

http://yoursite.com/wp-admin. fill in your username and
password. After filling in your username and password, the
page that will open is your DASHBORD. As shown below.

Locate and click on post as shown in with the red circle.

The next page that will come will look like the fig below.

Now. Write at the column shown with the red circle the
TITTLE of your post. And write at the column indicated
with the yellow circle the content of your page. And click
on PUBLISH as shown with the green circle to make your
post.

Repeat this process to add as many posts at you want to

your website.
HOW TO ADD PAGES TO YOUR WORDPRESS
WEBSITE.

For you to add pages to your wordpress website, you have

to follow some steps.

Go to your web browser and type http://yoursite.com/wp-

admin and wait for the page to open. When it opens, it will
bring up as shown in the fig below.

Fill in your user name and password and click on login.

This will take you to a page like the fig below.
Locate and click on PAGES as shown with the red circle.

After this, a page like the fig below will come up.
Click on ADD PAGE and wait. Another page that look like
the fig above will come up.
As you can see from the fig above, the page has two
columns In the first one, as shown with the red circle, write
the name for the page you want to add to your site.

While in the second one, as shown with a yellow circle.

Write the content of your page. After writing the content of
your page, click on publish as shown with the blue circle.

Repeat this process to add as many pages as you wants.

HOW TO ADD PICTURE TO YOUR POSTS.

Simply log into your dash board as explained earlier. Click

on add new post. When the page open as shown below.
Supposing you want to add a picture to you post as shown
with the yellow circle. Then click on IMAGE ICON as
shown with the red circle above. You will have a page like
the fig below.

Click on SELLECT FOLDER as shown with the red circle.

Select the picture you want to add to your post and click on
upload and allow it to run. After this process, click on add
to post at the bottom of the next page that comes up.
SETTING UP A DISCUSSION BOARD ( FORUM
WEBSITE):

A discussion board is a general name for a particular

PHP website. When we talk about a discussion board,
we are talking about a forum website like

A forum website is a platform where people from

many parts of the world come together to share there
minds, opinion and ides. Some also market and sell
there products in a forum platforms.

There are many steps in setting up a forum website.

Just carefully follow it and you will learn every bit of

STEP 1.

Goto your web browser and type

STEP 2.

Now locate softaculous at as shown with the red

circle in the figure above. Click on it and wait for the
page to open.
When the page opens, it will look like the picture

STEP 3.

From the figure above, locate forum as shown with

the red circle and click on it. A lead down menu will
appear just below the forum button as shown below.
STEP 4.

From the menu, locate SMF as shown with the red

circle and click on it.

The page will look like the figure below when it

opens.
From the figure above, locate INSTALL as shown
with the red circle and click on it.

This will take you to a page like below.

STEP 5.

Fill in the form above using the information below as

an example.

After filling the form with the example, click on

install as shown in the figure above with a red circle.
And then wait.

Congratulations you have just install your forum

platforms. Now visit your forum with your web
browser.

HOW TO CREATE A CATEGORY
Log into your admin page of your forum as shown
below.

Locate as shown with the red circle and click on BOARD.

When the page opens, it will bring up something like the
fig below.
Locate and click on CREATE NEW CATEGORY as
shown in with the red circle above. When it opens, it will
look like the fig below.
Fill in the form above with the sample stated below.

ORDER – Select the position you want to place the

category. Either in the first or the second position.
FULL NAME- Write the name of the category.
COLLAPSIBLE- Tick the box to allow users to have
access to it.

After filling the form, click on ADD CATEGORY.

Repeat this step to create as many category you want to

create.

HOW TO CREATE A BOARD UNDER A CATEGORY.

STEP 1. Log into your admin page and click on board as
explain earlier. To get a page that look like the fig below.

Locate and click on MODIFY BORAD as shown with the

red circle above.

Step 2. When the page opens you will see a page that
look like the fig below.
Locate and click on ADD BORAD as shown with red circle
above.

Step 3. You will see a page that look like the fig below.
As show above, fill in the form using our stated example.
CATEGORY- select from the lay down menu the category
you want the board to belong to
ORDER- select from the lay down menu the position of the
board you want to create.
FULL NAME- write the name of the board you want
create.
DESCRIPTION- explain what the board is all about.
ALLOWED GROUP- click on check all.
BOARD ACCESS- click on normal.
MODRATOR- write the name of your moderator or you
can use your name for it.

Locate and click on add borad.

HOW TO CREATE A CHILD BORAD.

Log into your board in the admin page of your forum. Click
on MODIFY BOARD.

The page will bring up something like the fig below.

Locate and click on add board. It will take you to page that
look like the fig below
Fill in the information as I explained earlier. But when you
come to ORDER, SELCT CHILD OF, and under it from
the lay down menu, select the name of the BOARD you
want to give a child or an extension. Click on ADD
BORAD.

HOW TO CREATE A PACKAGE.

In every website, there are plugins that help every website

to function effectively.

In forum website, this plugins are called mods. Mods are

used to perform some programmed works in the forum.
To get this mods, goto google.com and search for smf
mods. There are many types of smf mods.

1. all in one adsense mods,

2. share post smf mods,
3. high traffic ranking smf mods.

These mods have different things they do in every website.

So get them and save them for your use.

NOW TO CREATE INSTALL A MOD.

Login to the admin page of your website as shown below.

Locate and click on package as shown with the red circle.

When the page opens, it will bring up as shown below.

Locate and click on download package. As shown below

Locate and click on browse to search for you saved mods.
When you click on browse, the page will look like the fig
below.
Select the mod you want to install and click on upload to
install the mod.

Repeat this process to install all your mods.
