Lab Assignment-2

Title: Hands-on Exploration of Blockchain Technologies


Course: BBA – Introduction to Blockchain

Objective:
To introduce students to blockchain platforms through hands-on exploration of
decentralized application (DApp) concepts, wallet creation, and transaction simulation
using beginner-friendly tools — without needing to write code.

Instructions:
• Step 1: Choose ONE of the following blockchain platforms or tools that do not require
coding:
• MetaMask (Crypto wallet and gateway to blockchain apps) – https://metamask.io/
• CryptoZombies (Gamified DApp learning) – https://cryptozombies.io/
• Remix IDE (Online Ethereum smart contract environment) –
https://remix.ethereum.org/

Note: You can explore in simulation mode; no real cryptocurrency or payments are
required.

1. Step 2: Explore the platform

• Sign up or use the demo/simulation access where available.


• Explore what a wallet or DApp interface looks like.
• Identify features like smart contracts, wallets, tokens, or basic DApp functions.

2. Step 3: Submit the Following:

• Two Screenshots (compulsory):

• - Screenshot of your dashboard or interface (e.g., MetaMask wallet, CryptoZombies


progress)
• - Screenshot showing one key activity (e.g., sample transaction, smart contract
explorer, game progress)

• Answer the Following (Short Notes):

1. Which blockchain platform or tool did you explore?

2. What was the interface like – easy or confusing?

3. List three key features or terms you encountered.


4. In your own words, what is the purpose of a decentralized application?

Platform Used: MetaMask

Experience: Easy to install browser extension and set up wallet with a passphrase.

Features Observed: Wallet address, tokens, send/receive interface.

Purpose of DApp: A decentralized application runs on a blockchain and allows users to


interact directly without intermediaries, increasing transparency and security.
