 ABSTRACT

As a backend developer at LSOYS Games & Apps, I contributed to the design and
development of scalable server-side solutions for Android applications and game
platforms. This report presents an overview of my internship experience, highlighting
my work on database management, API integration, and system optimization within a
small, agile team.LSOYS, a Pune-based tech startup, focuses on AI-driven mobile
apps and games, and has faced industry challenges such as high GST rates, regulatory
burdens, and resource constraints. Despite these, the company maintained a
commitment to quality and innovation.
My role involved using tools and technologies like Node.js, MongoDB, Firebase, and
RESTful APIs to support client-side functionalities and enhance performance. The
experience enriched my technical skills, exposed me to real-world development cycles,
and emphasized the importance of clean code practices, collaboration, and efficient
backend architecture in startup environments. This report reflects both my technical
contributions and the organizational insights gained during the internship.

1.2 Problem Definition

 Creating Price Breakup UI : The challenge involved designing and implementing

a user interface (UI) feature that provides users with a comprehensive breakdown
of pricing details. This UI enhancement aimed to increase transparency and user
trust by offering clear visibility into the components contributing to the overall
price, thereby improving the user experience and facilitating informed decision-
making.

 Resolving Bugs: Addressing various bugs encountered within the applications,

including issues related to category dependencies and platform-specific errors in
the Android application. The goal was to identify and rectify software defects
through rigorous testing methodologies and meticulous problem-solving
techniques, ensuring a seamless and error-free user experience and enhancing the
technical stability of the applications.

 Making Category Independent: The task involved making the application's

functionality independent of specific category dependencies, thereby enhancing its
flexibility and scalability. By decoupling the application from category-specific
constraints, it becomes more adaptable to changes and future updates, enabling
smoother maintenance and facilitating seamless integration of new features or
categories.

 Customizing Application for Custom Font: Customizing the application to

accommodate custom fonts aimed to enhance brand consistency and visual appeal.
This customization involved integrating custom fonts into the application's UI
elements, ensuring a cohesive brand identity and providing users with a more
engaging and aesthetically pleasing experience.

 Testing Compatibility with Minimum API Level and Map Version Updates:

This involved ensuring optimal performance and functionality across diverse
environments, maintaining compatibility with older device models, and leveraging

Literature Survey
2.1 Technologies Used

During the initial phase of my internship at LSOYS, the foundational curriculum focused
on essential programming skills and concepts crucial for software development. The
Internship encompassed the following components:

I. Web Development (2 months):

 JavaScript and TypeScript: Interns delved into front-end development, mastering
JavaScript and TypeScript for creating dynamic and interactive web applications.
 Svelte: The curriculum included training in Svelte, a modern JavaScript framework,
enabling interns to efficiently develop reactive user interfaces with minimal
overhead.

II. Android Development (In Progress):

 Transitioning into the next phase of the internship, the focus shifted towards
mobile app development using Java, specifically on the Android platform.
 Interns are currently immersed in learning Android application architecture,
user interface design principles, and essential development workflows.

2.2 Field of Learning

JavaScript (JS) has evolved into a ubiquitous language driving the interactive web
experiences we encounter daily. Its versatility allows developers to manipulate webpage
elements, handle events, and communicate with servers asynchronously, rendering it
indispensable for modern web development. With a vast ecosystem of libraries and
frameworks like React, Vue.js, and Angular, JavaScript empowers developers to create
dynamic and responsive web applications that captivate users and elevate user experiences

to new heights.

Svelte, a modern JavaScript framework, has emerged as a game-changer in front-end

development. Its unique approach shifts heavy lifting to compile time, resulting in highly
optimized and performant web applications. With its reactive reactivity system and
intuitive component-based architecture, Svelte streamlines the development process,
enabling developers to build elegant and efficient user interfaces with minimal boilerplate
code. As a result, Svelte has gained widespread acclaim for its ability to deliver exceptional
performance and developer productivity, making it a go-to choice for building cutting-edge
web applications.
Java stands as the cornerstone of Android app development, powering millions of mobile
devices worldwide. Its robust features, security, and cross-platform compatibility make it
the preferred choice for building scalable and reliable Android applications. From creating
sleek user interfaces to integrating essential functionalities, Java empowers developers to
craft immersive mobile experiences that resonate with users. With the advent of modern
Android development tools and frameworks like Android Studio and Kotlin, Java
continues to evolve, enabling developers to stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative
solutions that push the boundaries of mobile technology.
