SolidWorks Installation Steps

Step 1: Download SOLIDWORKS Setup zip file from the Mail (Click on the following link)
Step 2: Copy the SOLIDWORKS zip file to your desired location.
Step 3: Unzip the SOLIDWORKS Setup zip file by right click on it and run this as Administration.

Step 4: After performing step 3 above WinZip Self-Extractor will open. Click on Unzip button.
Step 5: As step 4 is completed (after unzip of SOLIDWORKS setup file). The SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager
will pop-up in your Windows screen.

Step 6: Click OK for further installation (If not then move to step 7).

Step 7: After Pressing OK button, the “Welcome to SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager” will open.
1. Click on Install on this computer option
2. then Click NEXT

Step 8: After Clicking on the NEXT Button. The “Serial Number” Page of SOLIDWORKS Installation Manager will
open. In this window, enter your serial key based on your product.
1. For Example: Here I entered my 3D Design product 24 digits key.
(NOTE: In same way you can enter all your relevant other serial keys.)
2. Then Click NEXT.

Step 9: After Clicking on the NEXT Button. The “Summary Information” Page of SOLIDWORKS Installation
Manager will open.
1. Here Check on SOLIDDWORKS License Agreement.
2. Click on DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL option.

Step 10: After Clicking DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL Button.

Step 11: After Completing Download and Installation Process the SOLIDWORKS Installation is Completed and
the “Installation Completion” Tab will open.
1. Click on NO, THANK YOU Options.
2. Click on FINISH to complete the SOLIDWORKS Installation.

Step 12: Now open the SOLIDWORKS by double clicking on the Icon from the desktop in order to activate the
SOLIDWORKS License.
1. After double click on the SOLIDWORKS Icon, the “SOLIDWORKS Product Activation” window will
pop-up.
2. Now, select the option “I want to activate my SOLIDWORKS product now”.
3. Then click on the Next button.

Step 13: After clicking on the Next button, the Activate/Deactivate your SolidWorks Product window will pop-
up.
1. Now from the “Product Section” Select the product that you want to activate
2. Or else click on “Select All” option.
3. In “How would you like to activate?” Section, select the option “Automatically over the
Internet.”
4. In Contact Information Field: “Enter your Email-Address.”
5. Then click on the Next Button.

Step 14: After clicking on the Next window, you find the following “Result” window.
1. Once the activation is done, you will find the message “Activation/Reactivation Succeeded” in the Result
Tab.
2. In Licenses Field, you will find the Activated Product with Expires, Maintenance Expires and Reactivation
Dates.
3. Now Click on the “Finish” button in order to activate your product in your system.
4. Now you have successfully activated the SOLIDWORKS Products.
