Internship – Shopify Task


Documentation
1. Shopify Store Setup
1.1 Create a Shopify Developer Account

1. Go to Shopify Partner Program.

2. Click Become a Partnerand create an account.


3. Once logged in, click Stores on the left menu.
4. Click Add Store → Development Store.

5. Enter a store name (Example: MyTestShop), select Create Store.


1.2 Choose a Theme

1. Go to Online Store → Themes.

2. Click Explore Free Themes.


3. Choose any free theme (Example: Dawn) and click Add to Theme Library.

4. Click Customize to start editing the theme.

2. Product Listing
We will add two products with descriptions, prices, and SEO details.

2.1 Add the First Product


1. Click Products on the left menu.
2. Click Add Product.

3. Enter Title: Tamil Heritage Classic T-Shirt.


4. Enter Description:
o Made from 100% cotton.
o Available in Black and White.
o Unisex fit.
o Machine washable.

5. Scroll to Pricing, enter ₹799. Add compare at price if needed.


6. Scroll to Variants, click Add Variant:

o Add Size: S, M, L, XL.

o Add Color: Black, White.


7. Scroll to Search Engine Listing Preview.

o Enter SEO Title: Buy Tamil Graphic T-Shirt Online – Premium Cotton
Tee.
o Enter SEO Meta Description: Get a stylish Tamil graphic t-shirt made
of 100% cotton. Available in Black & White. Order now!

8. Click Save.

You can also use collections and tags to mark the category and collection of the
specific product
2.2 Add the Second Product

Repeat the steps above but enter the following details:

• Title: Handmade Tamil Silver Kada.


• Description:
o Made from 92.5 Sterling Silver.
o Handcrafted & adjustable fit.
o Perfect for cultural occasions.

• Price: ₹1,499.
• Variants: Medium, Large.
• SEO Title: Handmade Tamil Silver Kada – Traditional Engraved Bracelet.
• SEO Meta Description: Shop authentic handmade Tamil silver Kada. A
perfect blend of tradition & modern style. Order today!
3. Theme Customization
3.1 Customize the Home Page

1. Click Online Store → Customize Theme.

2. Click on Home Page.


3. Click on Banner Section:
o Upload an image (Create one using Canva).
o Add Text: “Wear Your Tamil Pride – Premium Streetwear”.

o Add Button: "Shop Now" → Link it to All Products.

4. Click Save.

3.2 Add a Product Grid


1. Click Add Section → Featured Products.

2. Select Products → Choose the two added products.

3. Click Save.

3.3 Add Testimonials

1. Click Add Section → Slideshow.


2. Add three customer reviews (Use dummy text).
3. Remove Button label

4. Click Save.

This can also be done by editing the store liquid code which allows more
customization to it.

5. Preview
5.1 Publish theme

1.Click on Publish theme in the Online store - > Themes page.

2.Click on publish
All set and your store is Published and ready to use
